To those who are after a boom recruit for this upcoming season i have a opportunity for a club looking to take any league by the scruff of the neck.
I have a mate who has been playing in the DDCA he is a a pro from England who has played for England and was picked up by Lecistecher and played county 1st cricket.
He was all good for this upcoming season but the club he was going to have done a backflip and all the other DDCA clubs have a english pro all ready which your only allowed to have one.
He is 26yrs old all rounder who bowls at good speed but is a superstar bat were in 3 years in the DDCA has had 700+, 600+ and a 500+ runs with the bat nad has taken alot of wickets.
His name is Alex Roberts and is trying to secure a place to play, as i am a mate i am trying to help in out.
If anyone wants more info you can email me on baernst35@hotmail.com

D Boyd would not be coach of St Peter's, he is director of coaching. Renny should be able to fill us in on that one.

G Dew is not coach of East Belmont, Peter Caufield is.

Don't think Cammarotto is coaching Marshall as they have been looking around a fair bit.

Geelong West would be Shane Arthurs from last year you would think.

There is still a fair bit of clubs without coaches by the look of things.

D Boyd will be Coaching Director. Ie. co-ordinate training, oversee selection, etc. Other coaches underneath him for u/17s, batting, bowling, etc and S Illingworth 1st XI Captain. 2nd XI Capt about to be named. A path that many clubs are going down at present and exactly what St Peters had last year with Englishman Steve Douglas acting as club coach as well.

I thought D.Boyd couldn't get to training some nights until 6-6:30 because of work? Is he going to co-ordinate via phone? :D

ok, will be a big step for Boydie and interesting to see how he goes with that responsibility. I would say he would need to have someone their playing a supporting/mentor role. Maybe this is where Renny comes in to lend a hand !!

On another note, just randomly bumped into one of the new recruits going to Manifold this season from Apollo Bay !! Was trying to get a drink at Crown and had to listen to these two young Pom's pumped up about the cricket and was talking to some guy who ended up being from Apollo Bay. The first topic of conversation was did he know Casey Lang the big Thomson recruit !! He knew him and then introduced me to his mate who was going to play at Mano this season. He was pretty pumped about the season and said another guy from Apollo Bay was heading there also. Interesting to see how their standard rates against the GCA Divy One.

A bevvy of senior players and specialist coaches there to assist. Everyone pulls together. And yes IPL, I will be lending a hand with some bowling coaching and coaching the Under 17s I think.
