Peter Roebuck Dies Aged 55

Sad day for Australian cricket. Roebuck was a prominent cricket writer in Australia and had shared his views on cricket for at least 20 years. He also played cricket and captained Somerset in the 80's on the English county scene.

I guess we'll never know why he took his own life.
 
We will wait to see the final outcome of the inquest. The whole subject is sad for those close to him but i will not judge until the truth is known.
 
Spanky Roebuck was a great writer & commentator, who obviously had a serious problem which has been identified in the past. Its obvious that eventually things will catch up with you, and it obviously left him no alternative in his mind- which is a shame.
