Shane Warne's comments

Control has always been Smith's problem. He has huge hands and give's it a Warne like tweak but he just can not land them consistently. To be brutally honest accuracy is what separates the moderate spinners from the good ones.

well that and the fact like Steve Waugh he has a back issue so he’s sore every time he does bowl

If you're on about Steven O'Keefe he's injury prone. But T20 cricket suits him more.

Lyon is an off spinner. A bit like Tim May and Greg Matthews.

Would love to see Steve Smith bowl more! He's more like Warnie.

Both Lyon and O'Keefe are off-spinners, they just bowl with opposite hands. O'Keefe is also 37 and has retired from first class and 50-over cricket so T20 is his game now. He is injured again having suffered a finger injury recently and may not play for the remainder of the tournament though.

.. and happen to spin the ball in opposite directions with their stock ball. So how are they classed as off spinners. Dont you mean a chinaman whose stock ball is the same as an offie.

That's just how it is I guess. Technically a right handed spinner bowls bowls off spin and the left handed spinner is classified as left arm orthodox spin.

The same theory would apply for right and left handed wrist spinners who turn the ball in opposite directions even though they have the same spin style, just with different hands.

Warnie could bowl and skipper a team if he needed to.
Even coach a team. London Spirit in the Hundred. (England's T20 competition that involves women and men)
Now that he's passed away those who were coached by him are going to miss him deeply.
