Jimmy Neesham is set to open the batting in todays ODI. Personally I think it is a bad idea but wish him all the best.

We were lucky get to 230 and were outclassed on the day. Plenty of positives to take away though such as Latham and Brownlie looked good and obviously Ronchi's contribution. In the bowling, Vettori managing to bowl 10 overs and looking like he never left and Boult bowling really well with the white ball.

The saddest thing about these two games is awesome weather and great crowds at a new international venue turn out to see the Blackcaps bat really poorly.

Yeah well not many cricketers do!

True. Gilchrist is one of the best wicketkeeper/batsman of all time, maybe even the best. He changed the way wicketkeepers played the game, the role they needed and what they needed to bring to the table in the modern game.
