Depends on your region for starters. You need to have a vivid idea of what you want in terms of target market/design etc. From there you are going to have to liaise with manufacturers (I assume you are unable to make you're own bats) from will willow suppliers to soft leather producers. You'll need a means of selling the kit as well as advertising (don't think you'll simply get a test player to wear the kit even if giving it away) to potential buyers. Distribution channels, shipping etc.

Basically, think how you would go about starting a business and then apply it to cricket...
