The BaggyGreens Thread

That’s true, although he’s quite aggressive, so like Head he might still be fine. I honestly think good temperament and judgement is worth more than a perfect technique. We could use an aggressive opener with Uz.

He’s been doing it on spicy Hobart pitches so he’s doing something right.
Not all that spicy. Yes he is a Head like player and he has managed to stay a Test batsman, but notably lower order not opener. There were three other guys that had big shield seasons, Tim Ward, Henry Hunt and Jason Sangha, all with better techniques and averages than Weatherald. For mine Ward and Hunt are more deserving of a Baggy Green than all other candidates.

When the kids come out to play. An Aussie U19 side will take on India A in dual Youth Tests in September/October, the reciprocal one to the Aussie tour last year. Our boys will be out for revenge this time if we produce typical fast bouncy Aussie tracks , with one Test to be played at Ian Healy Oval, Brisbane, the other at Mackay's Great Barrier Reef Arena. The tour also includes three 50 over games. Why not T20s too.

U19s Youth Test squad is yet to be named but I will have a crack at six that will make the playing X1.
