Five people died in GER (two in Saxony) and lots were injured (losing hands, fingers, their faces burned, jaws broken, and eyes or teeth lost) when mucking around with heavy-duty firecrackers.
Terrible Thomas.
German police and firefighters' unions called for a nationwide ban on private fireworks following dozens of attacks involving pyrotechnics on emergency forces in previous years.
This needs to be done. To my knowledge all unorganized firework displays were banned at least in my state if not the country after similar tragedies as Germany has just had. Same in WA Terry? As a child I recall looking forward to attending the local district Guy Fawkes bonfire nite, with accompanying fireworks.
