The Lounge 2

maybe even an e bike
Yes all the rage. But there is controversy over here and new age rules are being introduced for their use. Anything like this in WA?

Terry has Perth been copping any residual drenchings from the super cyclone. I have been watching its tracking over recent days and it hovered not that far north of Perth before changing direction and heading off the coast..

Why did you wanna help the Brit economy over the Aussie one when we were more than happy to provide you with our Malvern Star brand of folding bikes. The extra shipping cost tho is a consideration
It's not the shipping cost, mate, but they simply don't have a folding bike, let alone one weighing no more than ten kg, which was my main concern.

I had a look at your link to Malvern Star Craig. I liked the look of the Recreational Range 👍.
But good on you buying British Thomas.

Lately I've been thinking of selling my motorbike despite my love of it. I'm getting slower now trundling into my seventies.
But the idea of a new quality bicycle is tempting, and maybe even an e bike? I do need more aerobic exercise badly. Strength is still good with all my gardening. My brain is
slowing and aerobic exercise helps with that I've heard.
So I might get myself a new bicycle too Thomas.
Cheaper, safer and great exercise.
But what type? I prefer a more upright relaxed position, certainly not racing bars with my old back.

I went out to a local pub with two close friends on my 70th birthday Thomas, but before and after other friends and I wined and dined here and there.

This is the one that comes with high and medium handlebars for a relaxed upright position.

Hi guys I have new website I've built and I'm trying to recruit some new members and I also have a cricket forum on it as well for all you cricket lovers, anyone wishing to join up there I'll leave a link here, thanks! Home | - https://gotiges.proboards.com/
You have done a good job with the new forum Zman. I will wait till you have more cricket members as I'm not a AFL fan, Rugby League is my brand of footy.

Australians will play an important role supporting the Artemis II Orion Moon journey, with Adelaide-based company Southern Launch tracking the mission, the first crewed moon one in 53 years.

From its Adelaide base, Southern Launch is helping NASA to assess the broader aerospace community’s tracking capabilities to support future Moon and Mars missions by providing ground-based tracking support enabled by infrastructure at the Koonibba Test Range, near Ceduna (see below).

Artemis II - which launched on Thursday morning SA time - is carrying astronauts on a crewed flight around the Moon and testing critical systems ahead of future lunar landings.

No one other than Jessica and yours truly on here over Easter. Did you guys go away?
Thomas is Germany being hurt by the petrol shortage because of Trump's/Netantahu's war on Iran...

Happy Easter to all,

I did nothing special on the day but with the weather being so nice I got stuck into my east side shade garden again.
I did see a couple of crook old friends and rode my motorbike to theirs to save petrol.
I confess to flip flopping about my bike but recently it's been a joy to ride in mild blue sky days, and less traffic!

No, I didn't and won't go away.
Yes, we're being hurt, in particular the consumers who can't pass on war-caused higher prices. Diesel is the most expensive. It all depends on how long the war will go on. If it does, it may have wider implications for the economy.

Thanks, Terry. I hope you had a lovely Easter as well.
Nice pics. :thumbsu:You call it a shade garden. Do you also stay there or is it just a protection from the sun?
Mostly to help cool the house which it does a bit. Also as something nice to see from my east side windows. I'd like to turn it into a little moist jungle to look out upon.

Same here with high prices for Diesel Thomas.
I recently paid $2.60 a litre for 98 Octane fuel ⛽️ on a cheap Tuesday which was tolerable.
Thankfully I don't drive a lot but even still ride my motorbike to keep petrol costs down. It takes 95 Octane fuel and I get about 2L/100 km. My Corolla uses ~ 8L/100km. 4 times the bike's consumption.
There's lots of big Ute's and 4WD's in Perth that are very thirsty for Diesel, many owned by Trades people who may well pass on the petrol costs to Clients. Same for food prices going up. Some say we're headed towards Stagflation.
Many are looking towards TV'S and E bikes.
I saw this Ad today.

It's foldable too able to be put in a Car's boot and ok to take on trains or buses.
