Trump now nicknamed the "King of the US" just recently, called Zelenskyy a Dictator. As you said before Craig, pot calling the kettle black.
He's losing the plot already with a huge surge of meglomania.

Where's the Lone Ranger when he's needed? Superman? Batman?

To keep that industry its nice to see bipartisan support to keep it going with Federal support. Too right, they produce 75% of Australia's domestic steel foundries. Lots of railway lines ...

Sure it was run down with a English business man at the helm, with a wonky rudder. Thirty five years ago I took my kids on a tour of the Whyalla Steel works. It was awe inspiring. My girls, me and my wife all had to wear hats and goggles to watch the pouring of the liquid iron. It was like a scene from Dantes Inferno.

We can't go backwards with our downstream manufacturing.
In fact, we need to increase the sector if annything. We can't rely on Chinah in these geo political stormy times, nor the US it may seem...

Trump has laid allegations that Zelenskyy's role as president is illegitimate and that he is " a dictator and a fake leader", due to no elections in Ukraine, which was scheduled to be held in March/April 2024, concluding Zelenskyy's first five-year term. The vote was postponed as the country's constitution does not permit elections under martial law, which was declared on 24 February 2022, the day when Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Putin made the same allegation.

I liked that Zelenskyy said something like 'that Trump was in a Russian Disinformation bubble', which I concur with. Big bromance there.That caused Trump to have a tantrum, he was very upset, where he talked rubbish trying to slag off Zelenskyy. Now I hear his minions are saying Ukraine should stop rebuffing Trump's blather. It's not nice to upset their Autocratic potyus. 😂

As for the Chinese strutting their naval power with live ammo in the Bass Strait, it's just a deliberate show of force by another lot of children posing as adults.

Penny Wong said they were in international waters, albeit an economic exclusion zone. As they weren't fishing it seems legal, if provocative.
To complain might be rebutted by our and other nations sailing and flying through the South China seas, which don't belong to China anyway. A bit of tit-for-tat?

Is being reported there has been a second drill in the Tasman Sea which is now making the Kiwis nervous. Betting their pollies are making more noise than ours have.

Trumps is using extortion to pillage Ukraines massive stocks of renewable minerals. Zelensky rebutted Trumps original proposal, so what changed the legitimate Ukraine Presidents mind?
This may be the answer.

US will seek on Wednesday to finalise a bilateral agreement establishing a "Reconstruction Investment Fund", according a source familiar with the proposal.

The two-way deal and the associated funding agreement "will constitute integral elements of the architecture of bilateral and multilateral agreements, as well as concrete steps to establish lasting peace", according to the document.

The fund would contribute to Ukraine’s defense and reconstruction until its devastated economy is restored to where it stood at the end of 2021 on the eve of Russia’s full-scale invasion, with Kyiv expected to pay in half, minus operating expenses – or two-thirds (66%) in respect of any territory currently occupied by Russia which may be liberated.

RUSSIA SHOULD BE PAYING ALL REPARATION COSTS!

US' split with EU allies to side with Russia in UN vote on Ukraine sparks concern​


Votes on three UN resolutions demanding an end to the three-year war Russian war on Ukraine on Monday saw the United States split from its European allies by refusing to hold Moscow accountable for its invasion, marking a major shift in transatlantic relations under President Donald Trump.

The surprise move comes after Trump decided to start direct talks with Russia to end the war, shocking Ukraine and its allies in Europe by not including them in the initial discussions last week.

At the UN General Assembly in New York, the US joined Russia in voting against a Europe-backed Ukrainian resolution that called out Moscow's aggression and demanded an immediate withdrawal of Russian troops.

The US then abstained from voting on its competing resolution after the European Union led by France, succeeded in amending it to make clear Russia was the aggressor.

Zelensky is on his last legs. That's why. He's going to sell those critical minerals in exchange for security guarantees although Ukraine will also need them for its own reconstruction efforts.
