Thinking a bit outside the box in hindsight, like with Zelensk perhaps, I think it's a good idea to let the US mine for rare Earth's in the Ukraine. Not only would it boost Ukraine's economy but a US presence there would deter further Russian incursions. I reckon European Nato members would welcome a US buffer zone in Eastern Ukraine.
With all this palava about rare earths and minerals for hi tech manufacturing, it turns out we have heaps of them in Australia, our dirt by sea.
Don't tell Trump, it's a national secret.
Perhaps Nato nations and the UN might be coaxed by a grateful and respectful US to help maintain guardians of Ukraine's sovereign borders and US vested interests.?

I have, Craig. Sleep has had catastrophe written all over it. Honestly, I don't have a clue how long this is still gonna last. It's not only that I need to get up every night myself but I also to let Sari out which is at another time. It takes a long time until she returns which forces me to stay awake since we don't have a dog flap. More often than not I can't fall asleep again so that every night gets ruined which has been going on for more than a year now. I'm exhausted.

It took several weeks to train both my old dog and my new cat to use it.

Thomas there are few worse things than sleep deprivation. I am an expert on this subject. Mate there are twp ways to assist your return to sleep, a herbal supplement such as Melatonin (and others) or a herbal tea. But the surer way is to take one Alepam tablet, a mild sedative I use.. It is a generic derivative of Temazepam and cost less. I stand by them.

It's a huge irony that Trump's Autocratic right wing actions have been a big factor in swinging Aussie and Canadian elections to the left.
PM's Canada's Mark Carney and Oz's Antony Albanese's election prospects were doubtful to iffy at first but then cometh the Trumpet of Patriotic Tariffs and hyperbole which shocked the world with left leaning swings as a reaction.
Silly politicians echoing Trump's cruel and chaotic ideologies are not welcomed in Oz, it's a big negative here that our ex Opposion Leader Dutton, Hanson, Palmer ... and others thought to parade to their folly. That only happened to swing the pendulum further well left than expected, hence
a comprehensive win tonight for Labor in Australia.
Dutton was fated to be the architect of his own demise with his negativity, silly ideas, dubious facts and a bit dismissive of Aboriginal Culture, a great lack of detail. Chopping and changing stances on issues too,
on the run just like his role model ....

Thinking and listening to reputable news and pod casts, it seems expected that with the impossible trades to the US, especially from China

My favoured cordless WAHL shaver is US made and very good.

Like most, I was amazed at the size of federal Labor's landslide election victory, with some key factors like a rally against far right off the shelf Trumpian ideologies. All the trumpian hard right mimics are like clowns to me, and to many others it seems. Same for Canadians.
