I feel for the Russian people with all this chaos caused again by one Despot. There's a lot of them most signing up to Trump's filching scheme "bored to pieces". He's a con man using his position to line his own pockets.

Russia is running out of conscripts for its meat grinder war machine and conning naive men to sign up.
Good on the tough Ukrainians still holding on.
Trump pushed Europe to arm up which they are now doing, and civil western countries are putting their shoulder to the wheel aiding Ukraine.
All this peace talk with Russia is just delaying weasel words.
With persistent liars most run out of credibility. Well, it took Trump a while to realise Putin was playing him..
We know that all too well, Trumps not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Putin and the Kremlin have masses of egg on face as the war started over false allegations NATO was encroaching too close to Russias border and they feared an attack. Well what his invasion has done is not caused a retreat by the alliance but embolden it and the EU, the worst case scenario for the despot and his cronies.

Putin n Co's Empire dreams sure didn't go to plan.
Quite the opposite. Serves Putin right badly needing a shirt front from our Tony Abbott.
The cost of a dumb war over a buffer zone has indeed made it much worse for Russia with Europe standing by Ukraine.

Sacred Australian war graves damaged during Gaza fighting​

Graves of Australian soldiers have been damaged by the IDF from ongoing fighting in Gaza during a supposed cease fire. It is the final resting place of 250 Australian troops, with the majority from the famous light horse brigade, killed fighting Turkish forces in World War I.

Frankly, I don't know what's exactly going to change. Politicians are holding their cards close to their chest but expect that we should have an opinion on it.

To be considered: It's about French nukes only which are airborne. They would replace those 20 warheads which are under US-control. I don't know which aircraft they will be carried with. Would we get the French jets, could we use our own, or would we have to wait for the F35? In any case it would take a while.

We wouldn't be going nuke since we've had nukes for decades but it would be a move away from solely depending on American support which I generally second in contrast to a great many fellow countrymen who keep dreaming that the US should kindly protect us.

A kindly US protection! They're dreaming.

With Trump at the helm of a sinking US, they're not credible nor reliable.
Maybe post Trump in 3 years the US will revert to being a reliable Global power again, not like this current Facist US craziness. 🤞

But it is good to see Europe increasing its Military spending with the threat of a lying and belligerent Russia looming.

If Trump starts a war with China over Taiwan, I'd hope they go it alone and we all leave them to it.
No more diggers sent to dumb US conflicts!
 
Last night at 3am Trump posted a very rascist clip with Barack and Michelle Obama gambling about with cartoon bodies of Monkeys.
It was so highly racist some Republican Politicians were outraged by it and let Trump know. He took it down and like any practiced lying narrissist Trump said it was an unknown staffer who uploaded the Racist clip to Truth Social, at 3am. 🤣 ... and he wouldn't apologise ... 😡😤So typical of the Toddler in Charge. 😝
The Ugly American comparison is circling about media channels ready to pounce, as it does and rightly so.

That would be nice but some people are afraid that it might take a generation since it's not just Trump who holds those views but a lot of people around him plus all his ardent supporters outside his circle.

I can't imagine who'd support the US in a military clash with China and also wonder how he'd justify any commitment if China conquers Taiwan while Trump wanted to do something similar in Greenland.
