It's a great idea Frodo, the betting adds another dimension to the league.

However, I think you need to go a little easy on everyone. The BCFCL is in its first season plus we have an admin in his first season of running the competition. More emphasis should be put on captains submitting teams as early as they can to keep the comp running. Captains should also be encourgaing the quieter posters to pop in more often.
