I played against him a few years back when he was playing well.
He was a very very good bat, but i hear now the drink has got him and the years haven't been kind! :D
Every one is saying YCCC carry blokes,is that true? I got the impression you had to be a pretty fair player to get a game in the 1sts there? Especially all the money they apparently throw around!
Which ones get carried?
Could that be their downfall vs the might of Keilor?
Keilor seem to have a host of very good bats!

Well YCCC would have the $ to post his bail after pinching wallets in the "off season". If he plays the rest of season, they SHOULD win the gf!! I doubt he will play, has not been seen or heard from apparently.

Lost a few from last year. As I said earlier, change bowlers are average. Rely on posting a big score, something they are capable of.
You do sound like you play for Keilor;)

must have really hit the piss hard because last 2 years i have seen him he has been carried. i thought he was a specialist off spinner when i first saw him!
last year turner,wright,morgan,damjanovski,hulme were all carried! this year same but with different players.
keilor have some good players that slide under the radar :cool:

Keilor are the best side I seen this year. I think they are better side without the $ man Brown!!:p

so i suppose im just still interested in how they're all travelling!
North B1 can get very lonely!

Dont know most of those names mate, but im sure they all had their little part to play!
They must have done something right, by winning the premiership without the supposed best player in the competition!
My mate from Altona Nth told me Brownie cost Keilor for the 2nd year in a row?

Im sick of discussing Senior Division.

What about the happenings in South B1 and North B1?

I see competition powerhouse Parkdale United got beaten ouright in a 1 dayer last week.

And kingsville baptists gave a forfeit in their ones in North B1....

these are the divisions/clubs we should be marketing to attract more players to our comp. I want to see more club focused selfless team players like Asif jan and daisy brown. These guys would spill blood for their clubs?

There are plenty of sh_thead $ hungry players goin round. Majority of em don't even stick around for a beer. 2 years in a row at YCCC, first year 3 players in the rooms after game, this year, 3 players. WTF???:confused:

There are plenty of sh_thead $ hungry players goin round. Majority of em don't even stick around for a beer. 2 years in a row at YCCC, first year 3 players in the rooms after game, this year, 3 players. WTF???:confused:

It's called overtime at YCCC.

They dont get paid to stay after the game, their $$$ shift finishes at 6 oclock.

Plus they would be recieving appearance fees from the likes of the Seddon Hotel that night, why bother staying back for a beer?

It's called overtime at YCCC.

They dont get paid to stay after the game, their $$$ shift finishes at 6 oclock.

Plus they would be recieving appearance fees from the likes of the Seddon Hotel that night, why bother staying back for a beer?

those players were all carried for the season most of them batsman none of them got a 50 let alone a big score :cool: browny is a great player and scared a few in last years final unlucky to lose that one keilor missing him this year.

My point is that they should support the club that is fattening their individual pockets@|

My point is that they should support the club that is fattening their individual pockets@|

Definte smokey are the boys from the Old Calder Highway - more depth than YCCC and DSCC!

I think when Douttas played Keilor they had a couple out from memory,the captain for one(Rutley) and Wigmore(very good batsmen) and won by 100 runs at Keilor,i know its only two players but two vey important players at the club so dont know about more depth then DSCC.

However i do agree it wouldnt surprise me at all if they made the finals as they are a good side.

I think when Douttas played Keilor they had a couple out from memory,the captain for one(Rutley) and Wigmore(very good batsmen) and won by 100 runs at Keilor,i know its only two players but two vey important players at the club so dont know about more depth then DSCC.

However i do agree it wouldnt surprise me at all if they made the finals as they are a good side.

Rumour has it Doutta president did some recruiting at Fredericks last friday night and there will be a dirty little Fijian pulling on the whites for the stars this week..gun bat apparently!!

As for Yarraville not hanging around for a beer, only Smart and OKeefe came in for a couple this season, but usually pretty good..especially Bakes..the Grub dog has even ventured into our sheds for a thursday night card sesh!
