Three rounds of matches with starting times of 9.00am, 12noon and 3pm. The winner at each venue will advance to the Final at the WACA on Thursday December 30.

Pretty sure it will be 1.15pm

At the moment it will be Bayswater-Morley or Melville versus either Joondalup, Perth or WASTCA with one of the three rounds of Statewide Qualifiers left to play today.

1:15pm? Gee, crap scheduling by the WACA. Was hoping the game would be a day/night match.

Would have liked to have went down there and had a look.

Bit disappointed. Would have liked to have seen both games scheduled on one of the public holidays, either the 28th or the 2nd or 3rd of January. But I suppose that won't happen as those dates clash with the last two test matches.

Still, it would have been a lot better as you'd get more people to the game.

KMPG STATEWIDE TWENTY20 FINAL: Melville b Perth by 8 wickets with 24 balls to spare.

WACA Retravision Shield – Round 11
Some cracking games in the offing this round with some teams' finals hopes to be shaped by what happens over the next eight days.

Top two sides square off at Floreat Oval, South Perth host Wanneroo in a game that will see the winner inside the top six and don't forget the southern derby between Freo and Rockingham-Mandurah which will be one to watch.

Claremont-Nedlands (14) v Melville (8) at Cresswell
Fremantle (10) v Rockingham-Mandurah (3) at Stevens

Apparently Michael Swart elbowed a player deliberately last weekend after a batsman "ran through" him. Will face the tribunal on Wednesday, may cop a 12-month ban if not more as he has been charged with a level four offence which is the most serious of all.

Could be fair to say his first-class career is over.

If he doesn't get cleared then I can't see him playing. Players that are suspended within the WACA competitions cannot represent any side at domestic level. There are no rules for suspended players playing international cricket but I highly doubt the WACA will let him get away with such a serious offence (level 4 -highest of all levels). He assualted a guy on the field, if it weren't in a sporting contest he'd be charged by the police.

Copped a three match ban last week but was overturned on appeal last night. Now free to play for Joondalup and also Western Australia although since he is at the World Cup it's highly unlikey he will back representing them anytime soon.

Well, it's down to Subiaco-Floreat and Willetton in the final at the WACA Ground. Subi beat South Perth in their semi-final which saw Jason Behrendorff score a valuable 79 at number eight and then took five wickets opening the bowling to be the architect of Subi's win. While in the other semi, Willetton belted Joondalup with Brad Hogg scoring 144 and then taking three wickets with the ball to set up the win. Hogg's innings included 11 fours and 6 sixes and was off only 156 balls.

The final is this weekend beginning at 10:30am. The game has reverted back to a two-day match after being a four-day game in recent years.
