He did put Slack in there!
in all honestly I think this guy is just having a laugh.. if he puts slack and sturgess as good players in 20./20 games then we all know that he is joking about. I am not about to bag anyone in the comp, but think he has a few screws loose. I have seen both of those guys bat, along with voohar and can even just remember blood.. they are not players that would even be picked in the 2020 format. struggle to hit off the square from memory all 3 of these guys.

Guys, I am a current player and I reckon I am up to date with players current and some older ones. My posts are based on numbers alone! Blood has a terrific record and my mail is that he is a certain starter for StKevs nxt week in T20 format. Tad Merry's numbers have been solid over a long period of time and Voor Haar always scores runs against the top sides and steps up in big games year in year out. Slack's record also cannot be questioned, I know some will say "here we go again"...BUT he can find the boundary and clears the fence with absolute ease. Don't bowl on his pads. There u go, u have been warned! I have never met the bloke but he slayed our attack and he has always made runs against us. Torriero has been consistent over 15+ years and bats well at home, Dineen is a huge hitter and was born for T20 cricket. Hoare has big scalps at premier level and bowls gas and his numbers are brilliant at district level. Throw in Davo, Spider, Nickki Rice, Dinnison, Big Crawf LOVES going LARGE and bowld heat, perfect for this format. When talking T20, u can't leave out G Hansen, Armstrong, Metho and big Hoppy from the Bulls. Just Saying.....

Consistent over 15 yrs! T20 wasn't around back then! What about your thoughts on Dent, Male and even Cutter? Cutter is a bowler and doesn't play T20, Dent, well knows where he is, and Male is one of the most overrated batsmen to ever grace the ECA...

Torriero has been consistent in both 2 day & 1 day formats for over 15 yrs and surely gets a game in T20 coz of how well he performs at their ground. Last time I checked, teams have to bowl in T20 so Cutter deserves a mention as he has the best economy rate of all bowlers in Dunstan over last 5 years. Gold in T20! Dent, not sure where he is but was thrown in as would walk into any club T20 side. Male goes large on their postage stamp and is capable of taking 24 off a single over. Pretty valuable in T20 don't u think?? Just saying!

I'm guessting XXXX is from Bulleen. Let's get a few things out there. Chubba is about 500 years old. How he can be made for 20/20 when he can't field has got me buggered, but in 80 over format he is terrific and a great competitor. Same with Torreiro - can hit and is destructive when he gets going, but can't field and is too old for 20/20. Dinnison is young and needs time and can't bat, but he's athletic and a good fielder from memory. Hansen's never done anything - is he still playing? Slack is an average district 3's player, which is a worse standard than good Dunstan games, so let's get things in perspective. A lot of the good Dunstan players would go to district cricket and play good, solid 2's. He might have hit you guys all over the park, but one swallow doesn't make a summer; you might have just been unlucky and seen one of his few good innings? The guys MADE for 20/20 are the young guys who can field and bat and/or bowl. I agree with Armstrong, the Pom from Nth Balwyn last year was obviously made for it, given he made a ton, bowled and fielded well, but I can't think of many more off the top of my head. Maybe there aren't many Dunstan people 'made' for 20/20? The one's who I think would be good are the 'younger' all rounders, like Tongue, Vance etc who can field, bat and bowl well, but again, I don't think there are too many 'great' 20/20 players. I'd love to see if there are any players who average significantly better in 40 over instead of 80 over games. Just my views, but a lot of people on that list are older guys who, I don't believe, are suited to flat out 20/20 cricket.

XXXX is involved with an A Turf club that has not been in Dunstan for a while I suggest!

I agree that the 20/20 version of the game (which I detest), is certainly built for the younger version of cricketer! NB for instance made the final last year with a young squad. But at the end of the day, it is all about luck in that format!

Anyone go to the 20/20 launch? Thank god the Magpies had the bar open!!

Damn. Missed it.

If he's in A Turf, that would make sense, because a lot of people in his list were much better 10 years ago than they are now.

The best 20/20 players are the all rounders, Parsons, Tongue, Andrews & Swift, these blokes will dominate the game as they have more influence then any others to decide the contest. My smokey for best 20/20 player though is James Binney solid bowler, fielder and batter and has a young energetic team with him. JAMES BINNEY!!!!!
