Haha we played Haileybury today and they will smash Xavier. Cosgrave is terrible. He's like any offspinner, use your feet to him and he doesnt know what to do. And bowl short to him, he hates it there.

Scotch havent played xavier yet so havent seen this Cosgrave bloke play.. but i dont know why everyone pays him out on this site, anyone that take 7 fa cant be that bad, and it wasnt like he was bowling to wesley or brighton.. he was bowling to caufield.. and for all your brighton blokes like 'hussyisgood' i dont know why you pay him out, just cause you guys are ********ing terrible..

this buckley guy from xavier sounds pretty solid, all i hear is high scores from the xav boys..

looking forward to xavier knocking over HC.. about time someone does it, if i wasnt for those terrible run outs scotch would have defs knocked those guys over.. unlucky

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

The word in the captains speech on saturday for scotch was 'sail pace' which pretty much sumed up wesley in a nut shell.. the whole team couldnt bat if their life depended on it with some riduculous amount of maidens bowled by scotch (im not sure that wesley knew why the aim of cricket was nor what runs meant)

Melville opened this week hiting a solid 74 and Bowden at no. 4 hitting 83 both absolutly slaughtering anything that red nut and fat bloke bowled to em..

just proves to show that everyone from scotch is able to hit big
this season:
Gelling 148 .no
wollfe 100 .no
forbes 103 .no
Cruickshanks 96 .no
Bowden 83
Melville 74

Xavier Vs Scotch should be a great game and one too look forward to

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

as a HC player. i think that XC will be a ripper game. and i think that it is fairly evenly matched.

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

confirmed news is that pattinson cannot play for 6-12 months. has a back brace in place at the moment.

this is a big blow to HC who was hoping to have him back for the crucial XC game.

this is however excellent news for WC and BGS, not to mention XC who possibly have the edge on HC now, with the game being played at XC, and it being the last game of the year. they should be advertising for a big crowd.

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

you know what would be fantastic... is for the 3 ********est teams Carey Brighton and Wesley to play in a tiny little tornament.. would be like watching grass grow, i think they would be fighting it out to see who can score the runs the slowest with thes of that fat ass roach on the defence and rooney swinging and missing... madiens all round!
what an idea!

with patterson out with back injury i reckon the xav boys defs have a chance of knockin those HC boys over.. with patterson out the game should be more evenly matched with no 'one man' teams playing.. if that buckley bloke stays consistant like he has been, it should play out to be a good game to watch

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

how can people say that HC is a one man team.
they have been winning even without pattinson and other players have been stepping up like wakefield and heinrichs, tormy continues to impress and there is alot of promise.
xavs have got no chance.

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

hahahaha, yeh man, Haileybury are definately a one man team with every victory revolving around patto.

i mean we dont even need to think about the score from the melbourne match on the weekend, where 3 haileybury players made over. one of them not being tormey, who is the leading run scorer in the competition.

on to bowling, lynch is up there with leading wicket takers in the aps, if not the leading wicket taker. Wakefield is the closest in the comp to pattos pace, besides the new bloke from carey. and he takes wickets and bowls tight. Tormey is specialist at the death of the match, having no wickets in the melbourne match until the last session where he took 3. and he got 2 out of 3 wickets in the last over to narrowly miss out on beating carey outright.

i think your a joke mate. Haileybury are the top team in the comp for a reason, and its definately not because we're a one man team.

youre saying that without patto it should be less of a comp full of one man teams, yet you stress that buckley needs to stay in form for XC to have a chance?

doesnt make sense mate.

however, it should be stressed that without patto, HC have recently been taken to high 70s, low 80s overs to get teams out. pattinson gone has definately affected HC's attack, but it has been shown that we are more than up to it recently as we still record the wins.

all that said, the next 2 games still need to be won for HC v XC to be a cliffhanger.

also, having said THAT, HC's next two games are against WC and BGS, in which we will definately be looking to record at least one outright.

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

hc will struggle against xc considering their will be a big xavier crowd and xavier biys r pumped to beat hc and they all are in good from.

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

A big XC crowd agaist HC, gets the HC boys more pumped than a HC home crowd.

As you blokes put it, we're all arrogant, arrogant people thrive off situations were the majority is against them

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

I dont think the XC community will like it when there team gets done
