JB turns up to his son's game (F1) today and starts abusing opposition captain. The score at the time was OP 9 for 64. Opposition captain told him where to go. 4 balls later the innings was over. 15 overs after that the game was completed. OP players were nothing but good sports. At least he bought his beer from the club like all the OP spectators did.

It's evenly poised at the minute .NEW should have got 200-220 with the position they were in . But semi final and runs on the board it's a wanderer win baby

Rosbrook plays because he is coach and obviously selects the side. He also plays because they want all 3 of the big boys playing in their finals side together for the romance.
Tongs you may prove to be right but while st Francis can sit second all year and Macleod on top for most and finish 3rd with both those respective bowling attacks you'd think pigs can fly .

I wondered the same, very strange. Especially when Brent only bowled 5, Gibbsy hasn't bowled all year. Surely you just pick an extra batsmen.

It wasn't so much a dig at NEW. More that losing Trav really hurts them. I also think there's a few Riverside boys with unfinished business who are pretty desperate/hungry this year.

As coach of the club , today was absolutely devastating , in saying that I couldn't be prouder of our Group. We looked gone at 2/126. But the wanderer way got us back in it.
To have Austin caught on the boundary at 7/136 but for umpires to call it as touching an overhanging branch ended up being the deciding call. Nothing taken away from riverside . 320 overs of cricket in the last month and 1 wicket and three balls seperate us, to walk off the ground to a standing ovation from your club and supporters is a testament to the strong values your club hold and more importantly what the club represents .thanks for the free beers post match but whilst the game got heated at times all was forgotten after the game.11 guys that deserve everything that comes your way. To our boys ,,I was proud already walking into the rooms at 12:00 today.the start to the year we had , given no chance , but to provide a game that all witnessed today , I couldn't be prouder.Best of luck next week riverside. You'll get the chocolates in a fizzer.

There's no hiding the facts of the matter.if trav plays we are most likely in a grand final next week . Trav accepts no fault in the decision. Which as everyone knows I totally disagree with. He had a hard call to make and consequently he made the wrong one. He has hectares of ground to make up to start to build some respect back from the group.
However riverside simply were too good today. They'll break the drought and do it easy.

As a club coach myself, I have a strong emphasis on:
1. Family
2. Work
3. Cricket
Whilst I get the disappointment not having a star recruit playing, you can't put a single ounce of blame on him. You had 11 players out there. Trav made a tough call, but to say he made the wrong call is bullshit and disrespectful.
(Well done yesterday, a total credit to you and the other boys that it went so deep. Huge effort)

That's not what I'm reading. Prior posts are suggesting riverside will win in a fizzer. To me, that is suggesting that we don't have the ability to match it with Riverside. Nice spin on it though from you.
