The BaggyGreens Thread

I prefer Ashley Chandrasinghe over him. Started career well then fell into a slump but showed signs last season he is on the improve. I wanna know where are the next gen WA openers?

Chandrasinghe seems far more limited than Kellaway to my eye. Kellaway looked very airtight batting at the end of the shield season and far less bogged down as he used to be.

Teague Wyllie would be about the only one I can think of and he has some pretty obvious issues.

Had hi hopes for Wyllie, very disappointing. I have closely followed the WACA Premier jr grades for last three seasons and dont see any stand out youngsters on the horizon. A few middle orders and all rounders only. No one is bashing down the door in First Grade or Seconds either as WA cricket is gonna need someone to replace the ageing Whiteman and Bancroft in a few years, if not sooner.

Teague is smashing it in premier cricket as usual.

Douwtjie Hoogenboezem (can’t find how old he is but early 20s by the sound of it) has been doing well for Fremantle cc and has just signed with South Australia for 25/26 Sheffield shield. Which is frankly hilarious for WA.

Lochie Hardy (25yo) averaged 44.88 last season with lots of starts but only 2 100s.
