The Lounge 2

I guess so Craig. Being the sole Survivor of a dreadful plane crash it changed him greatly. It was an OK movie.
I wasn't fan of that movie because it was very hard to work out but I'm still a big fan of Jeff Bridges and my favorite movie of his is The Big Lebowski.

Zman, I loved The Big Lebowski, one of my favourite movies. It was so funny, especially when they tossed their friend's Ashes "into" the wind! 😅

Two of my closest mates died and were cremated in the last 18 months. When friends and family were scattering the Ashes I suggested scattering the Ashes with the "wind" thinking of that movie! 😆

More health tips for us old farts. If you have trouble sleeping or returning to sleep rather than take a sedative tap middle of forehead with middle finger for 30/40 secs and or same procedure to your temples. I have been a lifetime sufferer of insomnia, so rather than use a sleeping drug I am now using this method along with a herbal supplement. To aid in avoiding a possible stroke do daily neck exercises, rotational, nodding and side to side.
Am also repeating my earlier tips as not sure if you guys took note. Always rise slowly from bed, do some toe wiggling then deep breathing exercises. Another is to always make room temp water your first beverage of the day. A third, for muscle retention are lite lifting exercises. I use a soup can in each hand and devise certain modes.

Pleased you have now acknowledged me Terry. The most important thing is eat healthily, super foods specially that ward off carcinegenic inducing free radicals.

I miss my Mediterranean diet Craig. It's too much work for my shoulder now and I'm eating poorly because of it. I can't even exercise which bothers me.
Yoghut, Blueberries, fruit, ... is ok atm.

Yep blueberries is one super food. In fact most berries are. What kinda yogurt Terry. I have tried Greek, is sour so add a small teaspoon of Stevia or fruit to sweeten. I mostly eat Vaalia probiotic vanilla yogurt with added berries. For how long will your shoulder be crook.

Brown rice is one item listed in Med diet that I have eaten regularly but have now stopped since reading that it can contain higher levels of the toxin arsenic compared to white rice. This is because arsenic tends to accumulate in the bran and germ of the rice, both of which are removed when making white rice.😲

Hi Craig, being a bit pre diabetic I try to keep my sugar intake low.
Breakfast for me is often a bowl 🥣 of one weetbix, one tub of yoghurt, added berries and milk. I prefer the single tubs of yoghurt for storage being an old Batchelor living alone. I too have heard of the benefits of berries.
Nuts too but sparingly as they make me gain weight.

Re my shoulder, there's been complications so I'm off to my local ED in 9 days for more X Ray's and to see the Orthopaedic Surgeon who may suggest an operation. I'm tired of it all and being old with brittleler bones it takes longer to heal.

Sorry I was late with my reply Craig. You'd done the typing in dark theme and I had to remember how to change my theme to be able to read it.
It's always good to re-remember these things. 🗣👍

Too bad you can't cook the way you want, Terry. That selection looks delicious. I'd really like to try them, for there's nothing like those in my supermarkets. All I can do is go for low-fat natural yoghurt (0.1%) but a little bit of sugar is added.

Two foreign-owned multinational developers are inching closer to building WA's first offshore wind farm.

What is this Terry? Why not an Aussie company.

No worries mate. Why not stay on dark mode, problem solved.
Thomas and Zman Zman you have not responded to my heath tips. Also are you guys healthy eaters like Terry and I?
Yes mate I am much better at it now, I've drop 6 kilos in a month so far by counting calories and watching what I eat.

Two major European multinationals are close to being awarded feasibility licences for Western Australia's first offshore wind farm.

EDF power solutions Australia — part of the French government's EDF Group — said it was behind a proposal titled Bunbury Offshore Wind Farm North, which received preliminary approval from federal Energy Minister Chris Bowen earlier this month.

Mr Bowen said the project would create 900 construction jobs and 450 ongoing jobs, and generate 1.5 gigawatts of energy.

It equates to about one-tenth of the entire zone's estimated capacity, and about 3 per cent of the additional generation expected to be needed by 2042.

I am. I thought it transpired when I said that I'd like to taste Terry's yoghurt and that I could understand that he was missing his Mediterranean diet.

Guys, I guess it won't be long until my Sari crosses the rainbow bridge. Not sure if she survives this week. Have had another miserable night. Might well be that the antibiotics she's been on don't work anymore. Will keep you posted.

Thomas and Zman what about my original hints for longevity I posted and reposted. I was having morning dizzy spells and it was beginning to concern me, that was before I started doing the morning body and breathing exercises. Not had one spell since. (knock on wood). Thomas dont just want to taste a healthy yogurt, buy it, either Greek style or Terrys or my brand and sweeten it with berries. If not start taking YAKULT Lite (blue wrapping) for gut health, the three of you. Above all junk white sugar and sodium and try Steviols and sea salt instead, if not already doing it. Sorry to make this sound like a sermon guys but our long term health depends on it. The average age for an Aussie male is 83/4 and I plan to reach that.
