The Lounge 2

Sorry to hear this Thomas. I can tell by the pics that she was one of the family. Well loved and cared for. May she rest in peace 🌹
What a nice surprise, Jessica. Thanks for your heartfelt message. The extra effort you have taken means a lot to me. If I managed to get across what you are describing, I'd be pleased. Your words are spot-on. After so many years with her in the centre of our life, everything reminds us of her and a number of things will be left as they are just in remembrance of her. She's been cremated separately and her ashes are going to be buried on our ground.

With humidity being so low, there can't be so many thunderstorms then. Is that right?
Not much thunderstorms in our Summer months except when a cyclone comes from the north sliding down partially to Perth. Then the weather can be unbearable and my evaporative air conditioner just makes it worse.

That's a lovely gesture Thomas, burying her ashes in your garden will mean she's never going to leave you. There's nothing like the pain of losing a beloved dog. It's coming up to 10yrs now since my little Pumpkin left me and there's not a single day that I don't think about her. She was cremated too, her ashes scattered in the woodland where she loved to explore,

My fractured wrist has healed and my head wound has too, I'm now back at work πŸ™πŸ€£ and apart from stiff fingers I'm fully
recovered!

That was a nasty accident you had
Grier Grier . How are you doing now?
Gorgeous granddaughters too, double the trouble yet double the fun! πŸ˜ƒ
Hope your daughter is doing ok and enjoying life as a mum 😍

Richie Richie took a tumble on his decking a few days ago. Hope you're recovering Richie! Glad you didn't break any bones.πŸ€—

Hi Jessica, great to see you back. ☺️ πŸ‘

8 weeks after my injury I'm still slowly healing and no surgery thank goodness.

Great your fractured wrist and head wound are well on the mend too.
As an old fellow myself I know now it takes longer to heal as we get older...
My walking wounded Pool/Billiards crew are testimony to that. πŸ§‘β€πŸ¦―πŸ‘©β€πŸ¦ΌπŸ‘¨β€πŸ¦½

Best wishes to you and your mum.

Just in passing, how would you interpret this road sign?

Does it refer to the street in Vancouver or to Hastings in the UK?

Take care and recover well Craig. Nothing broken at least. πŸ€•

A RN nurse friend gave me the bruise cream below for my shoulder.

It helped a bit in conjunction with anti-inflametories.
Heat or cold packs too.
Antiseptic and bandages on your wounds of course.
As an old chalkie I did several first aid courses. Basic first aid only.

We're about the same age and slowing down in many ways. Reactions and balance for sure, memory, ... I heard we Elder ones are quite prone to falling over, as I know well, and it can be quite serious with our britteler bones, ...
An older old mate aged then 76 fell in a whisky haze and broke his hip. He died three weeks later. That was about 15 years ago.

I've even put in some sturdy steel wall grips, just in case. I initially tried suction handles in my shower but they were unreliable and hence useless and even dangerous!
