Thanks Terry. Yep I was lucky in that I broke my fall before I could face plant onto the concrete pavers. Good reflexes for an old fart.Take care and recover well Craig. Nothing broken at least.
Spot on must be in Australia unless UK , NZ or Canada have koalas (not a bear Jessica) in their natural habitat as Australia does. It's looks like an Australian or New Zealand sign to me![]()
I'm relieved that nothing got broken. Welcome to the club. I also nearly broke my wrist not long ago. You may remember my post..Thanks Terry. Yep I was lucky in that I broke my fall before I could face plant onto the concrete pavers. Good reflexes for an old fart.
Many Aussie farmers hate and shoot them for economic reasons.
That's sad.
They are not carnivores as joked calling them "Drop Bears".
An Aussie joke to scare tourists !... but no joke about our protected crocs and sharks.
Agreed many were shot humanly after bush fires and I looked for but failed to find the article on farmers culling Koalas. Maybe I was thinking of Wombats? Why would they shoot them? I recall those pics showing burnt koalas in the trees after the big bushfires.Very sad.
Our muscles waste as we age, reason we have to be more vigilant and sensible. I do leg and arm lifting exercises. Something as simple as lifting a pair of soup cans one in each hand is sufficient or sit and lift your legs and hold them for however many seconds you can take. Also move feet back and forwards at same timeI'm relieved that nothing got broken. Welcome to the club. I also nearly broke my wrist not long ago. You may remember my post..
Agreed Craig, "use it or lose it".Our muscles waste as we age, reason we have to be more vigilant and sensible. I do leg and arm lifting exercises. What happened to you Thomas?I'm relieved that nothing got broken. Welcome to the club. I also nearly broke my wrist not long ago. You may remember my post..
I do a lot of walking, and in my job I do a lot of lifting so I'd like to think I'm doing enough to stay fit and well.Agreed Craig, "use it or lose it".
I try to keep slim and fit for my age. Good diet and exercise which the lack of recently caused me to put on 4 kilos.
My exercise is my bicycle, walking, gardening, cleaning and diy stuff. Most on hold for 2 months but slowly getting back into it.
We could discuss horror movies there too?Guys I did not create the Spooky thread for Jessica and myself. I personally have faced a supernatural event. So it is not all bull crap. Surely you can relate an event. Anything even if it seemed insignificant
I swear I heard the distinctive bark of my beloved sheltie Pepsie coming from our backyard the evening after we picked up his ashes urn.
I saw those on our news too, and a fireman helping a burnt koala drink water from a bottle. Why would they shoot them? I recall those pics showing burnt koalas in the trees after the big bushfires.Very sad.
British farmers get terrier dogs to go down rabbit holes and and kill the rabbits. Shame really but they are just protecting their crops. Some farmers actually shoot dogs too if they are attacking the animals on the farm. Many Aussie farmers hate and shoot them for economic reasons.
That's sad.their declining numbers are a precious concern.
They are not carnivores as joked calling them "Drop Bears". . ..
An Aussie joke to scare tourists ! . . .... ,
I recently heard my Aussie State of Western Australia is the most dangerous coast for Shark attacks globally. Some metric, like per capita? We're first or last on so many scores we Sandgropers.![]()
