Worst Players To Get A Baggy Green

Easy on Manou here! He wasn't that awful! Smith definitely though. Tits on a bull are more useful.

    Australain U/19 Championships 2012/13

Known Travis Head for a long time. Classy Player. Be very surprised if he isn't in Senior Aussie colours by 21.

    The "utility" Player

you'd be better off sticking the second best all rounder instead. Imaging having Shane Watson and Dan Christian in the same team, in full flight - the batting would go to 8, and there's be 6 front line bowlers (5 if Watto's back is a concern)

    Big Bash

Still hate it. Stupid platform. Sure, watching Tait getting smashed around by his SA team mates is good value, but its utterly stupid. Put it back to the way it was. We already have enough of the Indian Cricket boards influence in the game, we don't need second version of the IPL

    Test XI Selection Thread

I'm a South Aussie and I'm even calling for Wade to replace Haddin if he doesn't pick his game up

    Cricket Australia Contracts - 2011/12

The arguement should be that if Katich loses a contact, the other oldies should. but i agree with a point raised earlier - pick your best XI regardless of age. Katich is still there. Ponting isnt, Hussey is debatable though...

Sledging.. How far is too far?????

As a batsman, you wait until the umpire makes a decision - you are not obliged to walk. In the two years ive coached and the ten years ive been playing, I have never told a single player to walk if they edge one

    Question on Wides

I agree with a for effort - his idea makes more sense. the laws of cricket are still arachic and need up dating for the future.

    Australian Twenty20 Re-vamp

We already have international players in our T20 comp. Ross Taylor, Kieron Pollard, Shahid Afridi, Daniel Vettori to name a few. We don't need another IPL. money hungry millionaires should spend their money elsewhere

    Dumping Cosgrove Redbacks worst move?

He looks in better shape now then he did two seasons ago, but could still loose some poundage. but to be fair, you dont need to be uber-fit in order to be a quality batsman. Did someone just yell Darren Lehmann?

    Dumping Cosgrove Redbacks worst move?

I won't take this back regardless of his game at the mid-way point, but his potential was quite great for SA. I firmly believe SA will be worse off, regardless of Cossie's Tasmanian performances

I believe I may have implied i wanted Hodge back in the National team, which was not my intention. I was merely lamenting the fact he didn't get more of a run in the team. McGain should never have been picked. George should have been (he was the first to spring to mind) or another young fast bowler

The new format for Domestic One Dayer's, how do you rate it?

Stupid idea one year before a World Cup. Another piece of bright thinking by CA. Personally, the sooner it goes the better. Very ordinary

I can't argue with that. He falls into the same category as Williams, MacGill, Bracken, Cox and Berry as players who, as you said, could have got a game for any country

    Dumping Cosgrove Redbacks worst move?

Ok, right up, I'll admit, I'm a big fan of Cossie and as a South Australian I found it a very bitter pill to swallow to see him move to Tasmania. It is true he did fall out of favour with Redback selectors, but I believe he still had a lot to prove and still had time in the SA team. And was I...

Hodge played six tests. Of course removing his 200 would drop his average. He only had about 10 hits in test cricket

True - this should have been the debate when Mike Hussey was brought into the test team all those years ago. your WA line made me laugh. utterly hilarious.

He helped get Lancashire into Div 1 in 2006 and then they stayed there up till his departure in 2008. C'mon mate, its not like he was playing for Kent. Lancashire are a respectable club in country cricket. but not as good as Yorkshire, or Sussex. :)

But when averages are calculated they don't remove scores...but still 30 is quite acceptable. He has played a limited number of tests but his First Class average is 57 and the majority of that has been in England - the second hardest domestic league in the world behind Sheffield Shield. Give...
