Darwin & District Cricket - 2010

A very good point, and may I add that it was a cracking wicket! There was a bit in it early before it flattened out after lunch both days. Nightcliff have copped a bit of stick recently about the wicket but it seems there is a bit more grass on it now than previous years and it played very well. I'm sure there is a couple of players in the Tigers camp that wont be happy with it however haha. Must be a while since Mark Hatton hasn't taken a wicket in an innings at Nightcliff? Has he reached the 400 wicket barrier yet or still a few shy?

Will Cramner bowl again this year? Or will he just be playing as a bat?

How do you know it was a good wicket? Did the other lads who batted on it for more than a few minutes tell you about it? Love ya brother! I still want you to take my money!

Haha yeah I think your money is safe this year mate! Those who made runs indicated it was a great wicket to bat on. Certainly was fun to watch from the sidelines.... I'll save my form for the finals haha..

2. Tracy Village - 9 - 7 - 2 - 0 - 53 - - Tahs, Darwin & Districts
3. Palmerston - 10 - 6- 4 - 0 - 51 - - Bye, Tahs & Nightcliff

Ladder is pretty tight going into this round. Waratah can do a favour for the teams above by causing an upset or two.

I wasn't around D&DCA from 2004 to 2006, so if Piercy won it, it would have to have been then. Berry possibly in 2003 or 04. Johnstone 2006, he or one of his compatriots will probably let us know then over the next few days. Maybe Hodgson when PINT won their last flag? Nick Allen may have won it in 2002, there was a stack of runs flying around that year, maybe even Berry then as well.

Redpath got the double in 2005.

2008. M. Miller (B Hatton got the Ralph)
2007. M. Miller (also Ralph Wiese)
2006. S. Johnstone (also Ralph Wiese)
2005. I. Redpath (also Ralph Wiese)
2004. S. Peircy (D Richards got the Ralph)
2003. N. Berry (also Ralph Wiese)
2002. K. Skewes (also Ralph Wiese)
2001. B. Sleeth (D Kulmar got the Ralph)
2000. K. Vowles (also Ralph Wiese)

I'm Pretty sure Redders won it a couple of times in the late 90's as well, along with Scott Moody and Shane Oliver from Village.

While we are on quiz questions, who has scored the most runs in a season in the last 15 years?

im gonna say scott moody for the most runs in 1 season

Moods was a great player, in fact I remember a season he took 40+ wickets and made 500+ runs. But I don't think he ever made more than 600 in a season.

I'm thinking Damian Kulmar back in 2001. I think he scored 900+ runs not including finals. He made a ton in the one day final but pretty sure he failed in the two day finals series that year. I can't remember anyone else making 1000+ runs in a season.

Redders also made 900+ back in 2005?
