Darwin & District Cricket - 2013

I dont think anyone said he was the sole issue but he did cause a lot of issues with the playing group on the field. Do you know why this person was kicked out of NTIS? It was because he had missed gym sessions and I think you of all people should understand gym can be overrated sometimes seeing as you only have one tiny pectoral muscle and you obviously don't lift. You are exactly like reporters, writing down stuff when you don't know the full story! Did you speak the two about why they were suspended or why they wanted to move? Seeing as you know everything Chip can you tell if Palmerston had any problems with the two when they were there?

Yes he did get 48 wickets last year but for some reason you didn't write down the amount of overs he bowled to get them. He is a good Darwin cricketer but if you blow anymore wind up his arse he will explode. We will see how he goes this year for Nightcliff though, should be interesting.

Oh and before you go running your mouth next time Chip make sure you've heard both sides of the story

An NTIS scholarship is not something that you take for granted, if you are part of the NTIS or in an emerging talent program you have to take every opportunity with the coaches you are exposed to by making NTIS trainings a higher responsibility then club trainings.

Also what scholars are given in the gym helps them become a better cricketer with less injuries. It is more beneficial then just going to an ordinary gym.

And he probably got kicked out because he got three strikes, for not telling the coach why he wouldn't be able to make it.

Look I totally agree with you a NTIS scholarship should not be taken for granted as it is a great opportunity for our young cricketers but how can people say stuff when they dont know the reason why he missed trainings. Maybe he was busy with work and found it hard to get there, who knows he might have had his reasons.

What is going to get you to the next level? Strength or skill? If you ask me it's skill and I think that can be shown in shield cricket when states pick players that don't have contracts and they are just playing good district cricket . The gym maybe slightly beneficial but it's not everything.

Can you point out where I ran my mouth, yes I took liberties with "It is a bit rich to say that Udara, was the sole issue at a club" as it appeared to be the general gist of comments made, everything else I made comment about, you've not rebutted and but asked for both sides of the story. I've never said anything about a story or any sides of any stories, as you confirmed in your own post that what I originally posted is fact regarding three Palmerston players, one player was kicked out of the NTIS, two players were accepted from other clubs with disciplinary issues. I speculated that Udara may have said to his players that their shit indeed smells, are you arguing that shit doesn't smell? Obviously it has hit too close to home for you because you've responded with a personal jibe which usually means you have no argument and are in denial. But I do like your views on a player getting kicked out of the NTIS Scholarship program worth I think close to 20k, outstanding attitude that.

Can you put a copy of it on here or the link if online? Cheers

"It is a bit rich to say that Udara, was the sole issue at a club where one of their senior players was kicked out of an NTIS program, where they accepted two players to Palmerston that had been suspended and/or dropped for disciplinary reasons from other clubs." This is what you said.

Why is there any need to bring this NTIS player and the two guys that moved to Palmerston in the middle of the year up? Did they cause problems around the club? I don't see the need to bring them into this when all that was said was Udara may cause some issues at his new club.

I'm pretty sure everyones shit smells so there's is no argument there but like you said it was all speculations so you've made a theory up without any evidence which is no surprise because you have no idea what goes on with Palmerston cricket club. I'm not in denial of anything, I play cricket to have a bit of fun and socialise, that's it. I just don't like people saying stuff about a club when they have no idea what they are talking about.

Sure the NTIS is a great opportunity but it's not the world Mr Flynn. People do have lives outside of cricket!

Indicating that "discipline" isn't a requirement at Palmerston and maybe Udara expected some, hence why there were issues?

Your comprehension skills are poor to none.

You are in denial, you get personal because you have a weak non-existent argument. I know what I am talking about because you're getting upset and trying to insinuate that facts are stories. Can you repeat any of the words that I heard coming out of your players mouths during the OD Final directed to your own captain? You claim that Udara over bowls himself, have a look at your B grade skipper, pretty sure he bowled almost double what everyone else did last year and previous years, in shorter format games as well, think he generally opens the batting too, don't hear you whinging about that bloke? Udara bowled over 20 overs in an innings three times for the whole season. Clearly over bowling himself as the number one spinner in the competition while Hanna, Gallow and Herman all struggled with injury throughout the season, yet Hanna bowled 20 overs in a match five times and averaged the same amount of overs per game as Udara.

Sure the NTIS is a great opportunity but it's not the world Mr Flynn. People do have lives outside of cricket!

Extremely naive thing to say, you've got no idea about the NTIS program, the player didn't have to sign on, he could have refused and for a person that supposedly cares about his club, you should be asking questions as to why he would compromise the future NTIS cricketers from your club and the competition but no you give him the green light and say well done champ!

this is gold keep up the comical valve fellas! Round one done and dusted good to see no rain interuptions! note to other teams slower bowler to Blanford or bowl slower balls i didnt get to bowl to him but from 1st slip looked liked he liked the ball coming on!

It appears that TV is very light on at the moment with forfeits in three grades on the weekend, C grade, 15's & 13's. Could be a long difficult season for them, every chance that Robinson will be putting the whites on. Imports have yet to arrive, Southern Districts are in the same boat with their couple of players.

Cameron Robb is meant to be returning for Tahs. They're pretty stoked with all the recruiting they've done.

MCG no. 1 & 2 were extremely flat on the weekend, perfect for one day cricket, Palmerston misread their batting approach and didn't take any risks early, with Bayly back next week, they should fair better against Tahs. Edit: Don't know what they're doing with Brandon King in C grade, watched him bowl in the Imparja Cup and he is the next best young spinner after Andrews and Logan. His results in the recent 15's nationals were excellent. He should be playing two's at the very minimum.

Umpiring stocks are at all time low, 4 umpires in total I believe for Saturday.

Not sure what game you watched, but from what I saw all the bowlers were slow, and he played them quiet well.....

A guy scores a ton against your side and you dont bowl to him, hiding at first slip and protecting your figures?
