Anyone going?

Should be a cracking game with hopefully a big crowd in Perth.

Does anyone know if it will be on Fox? I'm in the country ATM so I can't go |@

Re: KFC 20/20 Final @ the WACCA

I'm going. :D

Will be attending with a group of friends. Hopefully it will be a good game and the Warriors can pull off a victory. Both batting line-ups are really strong. Ronchi and Marsh have been in very good form opening the innings, Marsh has surprised me with his Twenty20 form this season. Pomersbach coming in at three strengthens the line-up even further as does Voges at four. Ervine and Doropoulos should be in front of Bandy. Bandy is too slow for Twenty20 but his bowling may see him stay in the side.

The Victorian batting line-up is also quite strong. Blizzard, White and Hussey are all exceptional hitters, Quiney can also get going as can McDonald. Brad Hodge is just fat.

It'll come down to the bowling department. Heal, Doery and Inness have been good for WA while Harwood, McGain and Nannes will be the keys for the Vics. McLaughlan for WA and McKay for the Vics will be the variables. Both have a habit of being very expensive, McKay especially so whoever is able to bowl well will go a long way to helping their side win.

Let's hope we see a great game and most improtantly, a Warriors victory!! :D @|

Re: KFC 20/20 Final @ the WACCA

hahaha go vic's too much heat for the warriors.........

8/203 off 20 the vics
1/9 off 3 the warriors.......11.5 req run rate going at 4.13.........all over them

Re: KFC 20/20 Final @ the WACCA

************. 76 of 30 balls is a HUGE ask, even with some wickets left.

An Afridi is required in this sort of situation.

Re: KFC 20/20 Final @ the WACCA

The Vics comfortably by 32 runs.

What was the crowd size like Ljp86?

Massive, was sold out. Was a good atmosphere and the big hits from either sides were cheered by all members of the crowd.

I have to say though that after being at the game, WA were robbed. The umpiring was a disgrace, totally biased towards the Vics. The run out of one of the Victorian lower order players was out by more than half a foot yet the umpire couldn't see that he was well short of his crease. The replay showed he was out by a mile yet the umpire was unconvinced. What made it even worse, was that there was no third umpire, despite Fox Sports covering the game there live. For the best domestic competition in the world to not have any third umpire at all for one of their Grand Finals was a joke.

Secondly, the decision at Luke Ronchi's "caught behind" dimissal was pathetic. Ronchi tried to late cut WA's first ball of their innings to third man but managed to sway back in time to avoid the ball, the ball then hit the turf in front of Adam Crosthwaite who then appealed for the catch. All the Vics players went up and of course, Ronchi was given out after some consultation from the umpires. The replay on the main board clearly showed the ball bouncing before Crosthwaite. A total dog act and he was booed for the rest of the game.

Still had a good time though. Was an enjoyable outing despite the disappointing result. Sledged the ******** out of some of the Victorian players, including Brad "couldn't score in a brothel" Hodge :)D), had quite a few good one-liners directed his way and also at Dave "second best player in my family" Hussey and Andrew "dirty ranga/Ronald" McDonald. And then there was Adam "it didnt hit the ground or the bat" Crosthwaite.

Had a good time, it was only the Twenty20 title anyway, Warriors are still looking good for the Pura Cup, the Twenty20 is the only thing the Vics will win this season anyway. ;)

Awesome that it was sold out Ljp86, fantastic result for Australian domestic cricket @|

Disappointing that we copped some bad decisions but we just have to take it and not cry like spoilt Indian babies, and be grown men.

Well done to the Victorian Bushrangers and their victory @|

Our bowlers weren't that great. McLaughlin got hit for 4 sixes off one over by Aiden Blizzard. I probably would have had Matthew Inness in the team in place of him. McLaughlin also rolled an ankle in his first over and it took a while to get it right before he could bowl the next ball.

Ben Edmondon also bowled well at times, as did Aaron Heal. Heal has to be one of the best Twenty20 spinners going around, absolute gun bowler in this format. The rest of the bowlers struggled, too many bad balls that were punished by the Victorian batsmen.

Lookingh forward to the rest of the one-dayers and the Pura Cup. Will be hard for us to make the final in the one-day comp but we've showed in Twenty20 that we can play this shortened format stuff so hopefully we take a few things from there and put them to good use.

At last the vics can win something- they havent had a lot to cheer about in cricket this summer. Maybe they'll get a test representative again one day as well! :D

Hopefully we will be seeing alot more of that from him this season. I'd love to see him get a couple of tons in the ford ranger cup, would be a great spectacle.
