I knew you'd say that. No. It is based on a famous true story set in Greece back in the Greko/Persian wars.

Good guess but not Alexander. The main character was the leader of Sparta.. one of several Greek states that were at war with Persia..

No. Greece is at war with Persia. There is a strategic battle between them. The film is named after that battle.

The title could be "The Battle of ...." then. I don't know what the decisive battle was. "of Marathon?"

There was an original made in the 60s.. with American Richard Egan in the Leonidas role.. from memory.

The Greeks lost the battle but gained legendary status due to their bravery.The film name is three numbers which represent the tiny size of Leonidas' army.

It is called 300. Yes a mere 300 Greeks held off a large Persian army for three days before falling.
I found the CGs used in 300 a bit too much to be honest.

Wow! Young Doctors was shown here, I've never heard of the other two. Is there anything online from Young Doctors that I could watch and see you acting?
