NMCA 21/22

Heard for a fact Heidelberg West are going to C Grade and Cobras had the chance to decline and go to B Grade and opted to stay in A Grade, after going winless last season realistically are they a chance to win a game in 22/23?

Yeah definitely going down to C Grade, still my mail they’re reached out to Colts and got told no.

Anything is possible RE Cobras from 4-8, apart from Rivergum, Ballers and Trinity I don’t see anyone being competitive

New club accepted into comp, and a unique one at that. Left wing cricket club Royal Park Reds will be fielding their two synthetic sides in the lower grades while their 1s and 2s stay in the Mercantile comp on turf. Bit of a trek for some clubs, but they’re a good bunch of blokes who hang around for a drink.

hmm...comp now stretches from the very edge of the cbd to strathewen. Not ideal. More than 50 km between the two grounds, the kind of drive that would take an hour and a half of a busy late saturday morning.

Atleast they won't be digging into the same talent pool or would you rather another club in say the Preston area?

Most clubs these days have players from far and wide so the travel factor is probably irrelevant

of course not RE Preston area, on record as saying mergers are needed. more suggesting that its a shame for mine that Strathewen are in the comp, good bunch of blokes but it makes no sense, its so far its not even really diamond valley territory. club in royal park makes much more sense actually, but seeing as Strathewen were there first we can hardly be unfair and blame them. used to be a couple of clubs playing out of royal park in jika. as well as princes hill and east brunswick.

What's everyone's predictions for 2022/23? Jika; I think baseballers may go the 3 peat. Usual suspects rivergum and holy Trinity up there aswell.

Quick:. Lalor warriors and Dennis look the strongest.

jack Kelly. Strathewen and rivergum will be up there. Baseballers could cause a few upsets aswell.

Did you not see the results last week lol? If A.B & Sortino don’t make runs will be hard to win, definitely a shadow of past seasons. Rivergum, Trinity, Socials and Baseballers make up the 4. Donath signed some good players, just no squad depth. Rivergum team to beat

You maybe right. But you don't win 2 flags in a row and then just fall in a heap .
Back to 2 day cricket this year could also throw up different results aswell. Let's hope we can get back on the park and the rain delays have passed us by from now on

Well no Castrucci nor Walker will be difficult, Old Ivanhoe, Keon Park aren’t competitive. Heading into two dayers it’s whoever has the biggest squad depth. Definitely believe it’s a 4 horse race, in Jack Quick shield Dennis will be the team to beat they had 6 of their best missing last Saturday. Believe we will get rained out next week again
