North A And B

O'Brien definitely is, albers is a medium pacer, and I dont know about Shanahan, havent seen him yet.

Whats peoples thoughts about the North A competition so far??

Shannahan is an offy been around for a long time Albers and Shannahan are both old guys

Laverton and St Albans look the 2 most likely from there Taylors Lakes, the 2 Aberfeldie sides and maybe Flemington are the others to look at

Swallow from Laverton with 422 runs at Christmas is top effort

i wouldnt be looking at flemington at all! apart from their one good bat, they lack a lot for this grade. Remembering they did get beat by Werribee Centrals who haven't looked like it all season. Flemington, centrals and moonee valley will fight it out for the wooden spoon one would think

Not sure what happened to Flemington but they have appeared to have lost alot of players from their GF side of last season. I don't recognise anyone from their bowling attack.

Has anyone heard of MV new quickie apprantly very sharp miles quicker than edrich and clutton!!!!!!
Didn't get wicket against east keilor but keilor boys were telling ball was flying of edges, east keilor batsman had no idea and neither the slips as edges went through slips and keeper was struggling to catch it aswell, i think he dropped couple too and he was standing more than 25 yards back!!!! Let's see how he goes!!!

top 4 have broken clear

approx 2 games between 4th and 5th already

I see Aberfeldie got close to Laverton, looks like the spinners at the head of the wicket takers keep on getting bags (Obrien 5 and Shannahan 4)

Aberfeldie Park rolled for 66 then get Werribee for 31 - think they out of the 4 are the one who are no certainty to be there

Laverton definetly a quality side. All they need is a genuine quick and i think they will make the top 4 in the Northern Division.
Aberfeldie Park its all up to Albers he can destroy teams on his own.
Flemington losing players moving up stuggling to make an impact.
if you move up u must recruit and build the list i would think.

have heard that the pitches at both the aberfeldie and aberfeldie park grounds were well and truly under prepared, so much so that players from aberfeldie apologised to the laverton boys after the game

looks like Aberfeldie got there right whack batting first on it

18 wickets for 250 runs looks like a deck playable enough when Aberfeldie Park has 28 wickets fall for 230 runs

The pitch and ground at aberfeldie was a disgrace, there had obviously been no council work in it since christmas, was extremely crumbly in parts (like a 5th day test pitch or worse) and very tough to bat on and it spun a mile. There were weeds growing all over the ground.

Heard the Aberfeldie Park pitch was so soft that you could put your hand on it and it would make an indentation in the pitch. Apparently the umpire was close to calling the match off but decided to play instead.

Apparently our pitch at laverton was a road and the aberfeldie blokes said it was the best theyve ever played on. The field looked almost perfect and anything along the ground would have been 4.

can see why the spinners from both sides got wickets then

nice of you to pot 2 grounds and then ensure you get some credit for your club lol, not sure why that last sentance needs to be added to what you said ?

Just having a look at the ladders across all senior north grades, I found this in west b1. A team has had 2 byes, and some teams no bye. How does this work? It's not a fair fixture.

How strong weak is west b? Sunshine ycw beaten outright by altona, and now in the 4. The 2 teams who have previously played in north a seem to be down the bottom half.

In defense of sunshine ycw that outright loss 9 guys from there 1s were out for a bucks and the same blokes were missing for the wedding a few weeks later, so they aren't that bad

who told you that? a bloke at work told me he was quick with the new ball and tired/cramped later on. looking at his bowling figures suggest the bats must have had some idea though

not a fair fixture at all we have 4 home games for the year in the 1st eleven and the first 3 games after christmas away!

Most teams that have been promoted from B grade usally aquit themselves quite well in A grade.
I think the major difference in standard come when you enter the next level Northern division and then another jump to Senior division and both of those grades require some serious dollars
