South Africa In Australia

Seems a bit strange to say that they aren't picking Watson purely if he is unable to bowl, he would surely still have to be well within the top 6 bats in the country. My guess is that if his body isn't 100% that they think it's still a risk of him hurting himself running between wickets or fielding out there even if he doesn't bowl.

The test squad has been announced.

The Australian squad for the 2nd Vodafone Test is:
Michael Clarke (c) NSW
Shane Watson (vc) NSW
Ed Cowan TAS
Ben Hilfenhaus TAS
Mike Hussey WA
Nathan Lyon SA
James Pattinson VIC
Ricky Ponting TAS
Rob Quiney VIC
Peter Siddle VIC
Mitchell Starc NSW
Matthew Wade VIC
David Warner NS

Hopefully Shane Watson is fit and can play. Mitchell Starc is also in the squad so hopefully he gets picked to play.

Kallis bowled two beauties before getting injured and going off with a hamstring injury. Kallis has never ceased to amaze me with both bat and ball.

Don't tell that Steyn is injured now.

Clarke is in just amazing form, great to watch, Hussey not going to badly either..

Clarke would want 600+ runs and then look for the 20 wickets. Will be tough but the good thing about Clarke is that he's proactive.

Would also be good to make the South Africans stand in the field another 2 sessions.

With the insane scoring rate yesterday they could bat towards a higher total than they usually would if the get the opportunity today.

Apart from Pattinson's quick fire runs SA would have to be happy with that to keep it down to 550.

Tahir still got hammered around though, how smashed must his confidence be lol, it's not like he's young either at 33.

Tahir started poor so he didn't really help himself.
