The BaggyGreens Thread

Australia XI: Travis Head, Jake Weatherald, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Cameron Green, Alex Carey (wk), Josh Inglis, Pat Cummins (c), Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Scott Boland.

I'd have gone Neser over Boland and Webster for Inglis. Still that is sufficient quality to wrap up the Ashes. Great to see the return of our skipper and premier bowler, while Trav and Weathers will enjoy opening on their home track.

I agree with Webster over Inglis because Inglis is more of wicket keeper than a batsman and Webster can bowl.

Oh boy did we blow it yesterday. Instead of using our noggins, of building big partnerships and of settling in for the long haul in order to bat the Poms out of the series, we did the opposite batting more like millionaires. So now rather than an imposing 550 even 600 we will be well short of that. Have our old enemy finally learnt their lesson and aided by an Adelaide batting belter will knuckle down and bat us out of the match and put themselves back in the Ashes race. We have now opened the door to them, so when we take the new ball we have to close it quick smart.
