The Lounge 2

Despite our overburdening red tape Australia is a great place to live.
Well that's if one can afford home ownership... House prices have exploded with the median average price flapping about one million Aussie dollars.
Yeah I got 750 to get a small bed place, doesn't get you these days.

I'm currently working on setting up a more convenient backup facility using Filesync and on encrypting either drives or files with VeraCrypt or Password Folder which all come free of charge since I haven't taken that seriously enough. As a part of this process I spent some money on MS Word 2024 for there's no support for my old version which might be a safety risk.
I've been upping my on-line security too Thomas. Only one of my devices hold my sensitive data. I print out hard copies and use an external 2tb drive to hold that sensitive data. The one device I use most has 3 different passwords including a Secure encrypted folder to unearth my data.

Forgive my scepticism but I don't trust the cloud nor Password managers.
In fact, I advised a 77yo mate with declining mental faculties to just keep his passwords in a paper and pen note book. He likes that simplicity.

In a fit of diligence I also bought and installed a hidden digital safe to lock away my data drive and hard copies.
Scrounging for nuts and bolts in my shed at night for the job I think I inhaled toxic dust giving my sinuses much grief. Possibly mouse poo dust! ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคง

Just a quick comment on your speculation. It might be possible indeed that you inhaled something the symptoms of which are flu-like. The good news is that it could've been worse but it wasn't . Over here it's the bank vole that spreads the Hanta virus. Using a mask is recommended.
Will get back to your post. Good night.

Thomas your Lukas Martens just pipped our Sam Short at the World Swim Champs, with both swimmers going under the old world record. A thrilling race saw the German's extra reach touch the wall first by a finger tip.๐ŸŠโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I love the old Aussie phases like:

Strewth, I can feel it in my waters.
He's a dead ringer for old Bruce.
Stone the crows.
What a drongo! He's a total wombat!

What other favourite sayings are there?

As for accents, I can do a broad or refined Aussie accent, a soft southern Irish accent, a London English accent, a rasping Ulster accent which is similar to the Scottish accent. Likewise I do a fair Indian accent too.
Thirty years of entertaining classes that enjoyed my playfulness and encouraged me. I used to talk about kinky curves, on graphs of course, quoted in a Year book! ๐Ÿ˜„

I don't know why but when chatting to my Irish cousins I unwittingly fall into an Irish accent. Weird!
