May be correct to a point but Hamas the militant guardian of the Palestinian people is not about to disarm without assurances of a total end to the genocide. What big stick? "Trump Always Chickens Out" aka TACO, and is bluster and hot air boasting to the stratosphere, as he does despite realities on the ground.
Attacking political enemies like Bolton and Comey for the wrongs he himself committed to excess is disgraceful.

He does have respect/awe/fear in the middle east but many are wisely "pandering" to his inflated fragile ego which seems to work, gifts too. 🛩 💵
I suspect most are biding their time with 3 more years of Trumpsworld. Historians are scribbling already.

Typical flustering by Hamas retrieving the bodies of dead Jewish hostages. They say they need more time as those corpses are buried in Israeli blasted building rubble and collapsed tunnels. Fair enough, be patient please I say.

Honestly, I reckon America today still packs a serious punch, but it’s not the confident giant it once was. It’s more like a big bloke who’s still the strongest in the room, but he’s carrying a few injuries and starting to look over his shoulder a bit.


They’ve got massive power — military, money, tech, culture — but they’re stretched thin, both overseas and at home. Too many wars, too much debt, and way too much division. The country doesn’t feel united like it once did. Instead of pulling together, it’s tearing itself apart politically.


They’re not falling off a cliff, but they’re on a bit of a wobble. If they keep trying to control everything at once, they’ll burn themselves out. But if they wise up and sort their own backyard out first, they could steady the ship.


So yeah, still the big dog — but it’s starting to limp a bit.
 
Trump promised Zelensky long range Tomahawk missiles able to carry huge ammunitions, and even Nuclear war heads. Fired from Ukraine they could reach Moscow!
That upset Putin who scurried to whisper in Trump's wounded ear lavishing praise and niceties to him.
So now the Tomahawks offer to Ukraine is off the table with a lame excuse. The US needs them... duh...
TACO Trump is indeed most influenced by the person he last spoke to.

I also find it extremely petty of Trump to weaponise the US Justice departments to attack his political enemies like Bolton, Comey, Obama, Harris, Fauchi, Biden, DeNiro, ... it's a long, long list. That's graceless spite.
At the same time Trump is handing out more pardons to incarcerated Republican "real" criminals.

The US is going to limp more with Trump at the helm.
Stretched too far for sure with China on the rise especially.
And a shame there's such extreme partisan division in the US, mostly from Trump's divisive and combative nature.
 
Poor old Barneby Joyce is about to quit the Nationals being in conflict with the National's leader David Littleproud, and being sidelined. So like ex Labor's leader Mark Latham he might take up with Pauline Hanson's "One Nation" party.

He's a larger than life character, even passed out on a pavement once, a real larakin we begrudgingly shouldn't silence. Truly, Hanson included. It's best to hear what some people are thinking, and of course free speech which we respect in Australia, but hard on hate speech in many ways. 👍

What, he is now gonna give them to Ukraine. So changed his mind again. What happened did Putin call him a name or something. This guy is deranged as he cant hold to his convictions. Is so easily swayed due to his egotistic nature. And HE IS RUNNING THE FREE WORLD. God help us all.

Have not seen a word about this. He is too weak to back down when it comes to Putin who is his puppeteer. Europe is going ahead in handing Ukraine billions in Russian money (euros) of frozen assets abroad to help Kyiv win the war, after Trump said he now wants Zelensky to settle for what he calls 'land for peace'. Good on you the 'coalition of the willing'. At least someone is showing they have the balls needed against the little tyrant.

Trump must be clueless if he didnt know that Kevin Rudd was the Aussie Ambassador to the US. Albo had to show him. Still talk about him throwing Rudd under a bus as then Trump in his typical childish manner just had to embarrass him in front of a full audience. Love some of the names Rudd called him. Best was "a village idiot is running America".

Kevin oh seven had an acid tongue very often, as we know, but I liked his descriptions of Trump.

Maybe best Kevin come home or another diplomatic mission.
Perhaps we could send our big gunners in Abbot or Dutton to shirt front Trump. Joking, soft diplomacy and praising/adoring childish Trump seems to be the best strategy, like UK PM Starmer and others have done.
