The potential withdrawal sounds like a logical consequence for those countries but it's hypothetical and may not go beyond stage one described by the author. He fails to explain the consequences for those states if they do that, why China could fully replace the US both as a place for investment and as a military ally, why the Gulf states could afford to do without investment opportunities in the US and without its military backing if no other country can, how Chinese military technology can be seamlessly interwoven with existing US equipment including top secret enemy recognition systems, codes, etc., and why the Gulf states would trust China as much as they trusted the US?
In sum, the vid is a bit one-sided by not showing the other side of the coin.

Well worth listening to.

How typical of Trump to go in like a bull in a China shop and not conferring with regional neighbours that are suffering badly from clown Trump's stupid illegal war of choice against Iran!
Like many I believe Trump's rationale for attacking Iran was to deflect attention away from his numerous involvements with Epstein. What a morally bankrupt behaviour! I wish Trump triple painful untreatable cancers!

On another tack, Potty Potus Trump has moved many forces and equipment from South Korea, Japan, Guam, ... and elsewhere to aid his war with Iran. Not our War!
With those assets away, might the Chinese think now's a good time to take Taiwan back??
