there are two ways to play the game of cricket, the honest , ethical, merit based way, the other is the Bentleigh way, CHEAT, CONIVE,USE EVERY UNDERHAND SNIDE NON-GAME PLAY METHOD TO GET INTO FINALS AHEAD OF A TEAM MUCH BETTER THAN YOU AND THEN CRASH IN FLAMES becuase basically you are crap when it comes to playing the actual game of cricket.

Re: VTCA Thread

rumour from buckley park is eastwood did great job for the north team, mills didn't know what it him with all the not out's from the other end. Ahh well, those north teams always get special treatment, don't they!

Yes i would concur about the north team getting favorable treatment from the umpire and also a helping hand from the opposition dropping 9 catches and inability to have any idea how to bat (falling 200 short) doesnt hurt,so yes an all round team effort from Douttas, the ump and S.C. :)

So i guess with that sort of recipe/team plan they couldnt get beat could they ;) and in my opinion the two best sides to face off in the granny so no surprises there for me.

Hey Sledge,

Are you saying you'd prefer cheats who aren't even competitive in the finals - that's your preference?!?!?. No wonder the south has no respect on this forum if you're the representative.......

We can only hope some entertainment was provided out at Airport West for the fans in the form of bouncers from D Brown aimed squarely at heads!
No i don't prefer cheats like Bentleigh, but Brighton are not much better.
Congrats to the North too good in both the top grades, would love to see the Senior GF played at Bentleigh, where the two teams at war could play off in neutral territory and we would know that Bentleigh would do the right thing.

Re: VTCA Thread

Spotswood will need to return 25 slabs of Cascade Light now that there will be a lack of avacodo tracksuit wearers attending over the next fortnight (assuming the brains trust send the Senior Final back where it belongs and away from the toxic tip that is Croft's Reserve).

Great to see the home grown players doing their bit to get their senior teams through to the GF. A great game by Keilor's local players, with Matt Willmott firing with both bat and ball, getting the same number of runs and wickets, and Josh Boyle and Dale Pixton working tirelessly with the ball as they shared 9 overs and no wickets. Doutta's I see are now down to 2 players that actually played a junior game there, but at least Rutley and Tankard actually contributed something.

APW have embraced this consept, hence they will finally make it to the highest grade.

May the best cheque book win, and I am sure the celebrations will mean so much to more than half the winning team who are the heart and soul of these clubs - well this year anyway until a better offer arrives.....

Re: VTCA Thread

Just recieved word that big daisy made an appearance at YCCC rooms after there loss and was seen talking to YCCC president and captain. Looks like there will be a new recruit down a hansen reserve next year. One would think Jan would follow once he finds out there was more cash involved.

Willmott - Bowl super with new ball should have had the prized scalp of Baker (Fraser dropped in on 10) & nearly Bowled Turner first ball

Boyle - Got the wicket of Baker (game turner)

Pixton - played a role after tea after Pope got off to a flyer.... Stemmed the tide before hutchison saw them home... Took a blinder of a catch late in the day..... Expect 3 - 6 wickets from him in the GF.....

Expect one change this week Chetan Arjun (Keilor junior) in - Fraser out.....

TURNER - RETIRED ???
PACHOLLI - UPSET WITH LEVEL OF UMPIRING WILL BE HEADING TO NORTH MELBOURNE NEXT YEAR
BAKER - GETTING HIS SUIT & TIE READY FOR HIS PAXINO MEDAL SPEECH !!!!

Sounds like the boys down at YCCC are on tilt... throwing around the dollars after a rare finals loss.

Would have been easy 2 bowl turner 1st bowl with those beer googles on,as 4 Pixton the only roll he played was the 10 he had at tea and the catch the back stop would have caught that(i think).
