Re: VTCA Thread

Lamb to make 200 against Chelt's pop gun attack.

Cheetham is no gun - 10 wickets in a Home and Away season and batting at 9 in South A - that is run of the mill. Mullaney was a gun - dominated in Senior Div the best standard in the comp.

Doutta to beat Keilor due to better depth - AW to beat Strathmore due to better $$$.

Cheetham took a few more than 10 wickets in the H & A. Went alright taking 6 for and a hat-trick in the semi @|

If the VTCA have some balls Lamb won't be playing in the GF

yeh but beena didnt really desrve to make it...

there will be huge heat with Lamb apparantly grabbing the square leg umpire (who was from chelt) around the neck and threating him for not giving a run-out out. I heard he's already been suspended but he appealed so that is why he played last wekk but didnt bat....

chelt will be huge underdogs with their gun recruit Cheetham going home....

Is he?

he was easily the quickest bloke we have faced in the past 3-4 years. just had a look at his stats and he has taken 21 wickets against the other 3 finals teams this year at 9.09 and averaged 24 with the bat. pretty good effort.

just on the lamb incident. we heard that he abused the square leg umpire (who was a 15 year old chelt player) then when told by his teammates that he had overstepped the line, refused to apologise. he was a toss when he played them and it seems it wasnt a one off.

Re: VTCA Thread

Bentleigh showed their cricket talent again against Airport West St Christophers, as opposed to underhand try to win by foul means skills.
We await the "protest" , surely the covers were improperly used..must surely be the the reason you lost 6 wickets for under 10 runs each, the VTCA must be "spoken to" about this and if the match committee is consistent they would uphold your scheming "protest" and award Bentleigh the match..that's what they did last time you lost six wickets for under ten runs each..
Sunshine Druids have been cheated out of the finals place they rightly deserved on how they played the game of cricket , as opposed to manipulating a grossly mal administered set of half baked rules.

Dont think pollock will get the job given his association with Keilor.
Borg and Mills would have to be the frontrunners for those jobs. That's a good old whipping Douttas gave South too , what were South thinking when they won the toss and bowled ?
Well done to Keilor ,no Yarraville in the grand final for 1st time in 5 years.
Another north side to come up to Senior , Great news.
The 2 "form" sides of the comp in granny , too hard to call a winner ,should be a great game and im tipping it will go well into day 4.

Surely be the standard Newington and L. Horwath!

Re: VTCA Thread

We have a missing persons case on our hands at the moment and we are searching all avenues to get this person back alive and safe.
His name is Gary Turner.
We had a call from his wife worried that he had not been home since last thursday 28th February.
We know for a fact that he was playing cricket on March 1 and 2.
He was last spotted March 3 at crown casino slouched and passed out on a couch in front of the big screen with what looked like to be a half full glass of bourbon and coke. He was wearing a dark green tracksuit, missing one shoe, had pink lipstick on his lips, and was wearing a badge saying "hens night" on it.
Anyone with any information please call 1300 POLICE with any information that may help us in our search for Gary Turner.

Was last seen at the Taylors Lakes police station this morning, after trying to break into the Keilor Clubrooms, witnesses said he was looking for a premiership photo containing one of his mates, named pacholi. Didn't think he had any mates down at Keilor?

My top 4 Predictions;

1. Doutta Stars
2. N/A
3. N/A
4. N/A

Doutta Stars will win the flag after all other teams in the VTCA are deemed unworthy of playing against the "mighty" club from Buckley Park.

My other prediction is that the VTCA, after finally waking upto themselves, will become known as the DSCCCA in recognition of the enormous contribution Doutta Stars make to the competition.

Tell ya what , you're ok on the predictions......

Re: VTCA Thread

the borgster was unruffled by hutchisons 'in your face' whining last week, so he'd have to get a gig.

Perhaps Kenny Eastwood gets rewarded for his consistent checking of no balls and general skill in rewarding the 3rd LBW shout each time there is an appeal.

My tip is Ken Eastwood and Ken Probyn - 9 lbws on the first day, both teams told to pull their heads in and read the riot act. just hope there are no altercations on the field - neither umpire sees anything.

Hampton?????? I would think they would be happy if they survive relegation.
Top 4
Sth Caulfield
Royal Park
Then anyone of about 6 sides this year (not Hampton)
Apart from the 2 sides mentioned above, it will be pretty even I think.

Well your top 2 predictions were off the mark so fair to say your GF one is too...
Hampton were a slim chance to make top 4 with 2 rds to go too

OK , too hard to make a call on winner myself. Match up well both teams though Douttas have posted some big scores recently(not the best opponents) and Keilor have a very good attack.
People who dont like Douttas will say Keilor to win and Doutta people will say they will , v v v good game is what i think.
