I would add that you should learn to use the keeper more. He's got the best view of what is going on and should be able to give you pointers as to what is going on.

The problem with England at the moment is that too many players are in so so form. They have to pick the players who are in form to carry those having bad runs.
The keeper situation is a joke, I may have to stick my hat into the ring.

There will be in maybe 7 or 10 years time though and i reckon one of the current bunch will step up and become a good enough spinner. They were spoilt with Warne though.

Best sight for me is spying the batsman walking off after getting a snick. Normally means that I've managed to cling on to a catch!
Other than that i really like watching good keepers, especially the likes of Russell and Knott.

I enjoyed reading that post, makes you think about batting and what your body really goes through. I always find it amazing when reading\studying about the different ways that the body can make energy etc.

I think every club does the 12 from 6 at the end of the nets! Sounds a good theory in making the nets work more for you. Will see if we can do something like it next week. Might give some of our guys a perk up after the circuits!

As a keeper im going to say keeper :p.
catches can win matches and tight fielding can be worth more than agood innings. it makes sense to help 4/5 bowlers then 1 place in the batting order

Correct me if im wrong but i thought they had abandoned the quota system? it seems wrong to lose a good coach over something like this, surely his job is to pick the team he thinks will do the best job?
