I doubt it would appear on Romain Grenville's CV that in 2011/12 Sunshine sacked him as playing coach before season's end (after yet another petulant display on his part having stormed off the ground at Preston after yet again having disputed an umpire's decision and then having the sulks for the remainder of the day). People I know at Essendon and North Melbourne told me a while ago he wore out his welcome at both. Poor judgement or lack of homework by Sunshine in appointing him. I had the ''pleasure'' of having some dealings with him as I was then curating Dempster and, to his astonishment and some members of the committee, gave back as good as I got!! I don't tolerate upstarts gladly. Avoid.

After one of your many rants before you got logged out for a spell Super Saint replied with the following ''Seriously son you need help''. Seems like nothing has changed. Keep flouting the rules as you have on this post and the moderator will again log you out. You won't intimidate me son by trotting out garbage as above.

Is that your overseas pro who is a chance to win the young player of the season award?

The 2 classic Grenville moments were when he could not believe that Preston did not supply a vegetarian meal as an alternative at lunch. He had the same look on his face when Kev Lowe bowled him then jogged down the pitch and mentioned "that was a little too good for you son".:)

I hadn't heard about all the above but not in the slightest surprised. Did he want to be another W G Grace by refusing to leave the ground when bowled believing the spectators came to see him play. Actually, that wouldn't surprise me either!!
