The only likely changes for Perth are Harris being rested. In which case Bollinger or Coulter-Nile come into the 12 or Lyon going out for another seemer (unlikely).

England In Australia - The Ashes 2013/14

It's not a massive total yet. Not by Adelaide terms anyway. But we are well on the way to a massive total.

England In Australia - The Ashes 2013/14

Australia still with a lot of work to do tomorrow. Clarke needs to go on and on, and will need support from Haddin and Johnson.

49 in a test that saw 20 wickets fall for 431 runs is a pass mark in anyone's estimations.. ..except yours it would seem :)

It was a good knock by Warner and hardly hit and miss. Credit where it's due. He made 50 of our first 80 runs, and without his contribution we would have been in even deeper shite than we were. His 49 was a pass mark from me.

"Captains shouldn't fear losing, but they should hate it". That is pure Ian Chappell philosophy. I think Chappelli and Taylor were standout captains. Welcome too mate.

Unrealistic. If they bring home those sorts of numbers they will have had sensational series, not just achieved pass marks. Pass marks IMO would be 45 for Warner, and 40ish for Bailey & Smith. In fact high 30's would probably be enough to see Bailey retain his place. I sure hope they exceed...

What do you see as pass mark averages for the series for the 3 players you claim aren't test cricketers?

Ashton Agar-the Future Of Austrailian Cricket

Agar unlucky to miss out on a hundred today. Would have been a huge thing for him if he could have found those extra 7 runs.

We both know it'll be a state 2nd XI they play against. That's my point.

I'm a Victorian. But how can you play down Warner's performances in the short form of the game, and then push for Aaron Finch? Both in great form mind you.

Down to 7 have almost picked themselves, including I think Bailey. The bowling will be determined by fitness as much as anything else. Harris & Siddle are certs provided they are fit. Lyon's only serious opposition comes from Fawad Ahmed. The last spot between Johnson & Faulkner could go down...

    Ashes Tour Fixturing Stuff Up

What do posters think about this England vs NSW 2nd X1 game being recognised as a 1st class match? How does playing a 2nd XI fulfil the criteria?

Ricky Ponting On The Clarke/katich Incident

From that article: "Bingle revealed last week that leaving Clarke back in 2010 was the ‘best thing’ she ever did because the alternative would be that she would be married with three kids". Just who left who? I thought Clarke ditched Bingle?
