Re: APS Season 2006/2007

Melbourne Grammar defeated Xavier College in a convincing 66 run win - 244 to 178. MGS Captain Andy Oaten vitally won the toss and went in to bat, MGS posted a solid 244 with promising opener Will Payne making a hard fought 67, and Andy Oaten with a dominant 90 putting balls all over the ground. Pick of the bowlers for Xavier was Chris Smith with 4 wickets, the express opener Nick Bergin was dispatched by a rampant Will Payne and at one stage was 1/28 from 5. Xavier were soon under the pump with Molan removed in just the second over of the innings by star Andy Oaten. Jack Slade removed Jack Ryan in the next over and Xavier were in trouble at 2/9 from 5. Slade got rid of Bergin a few overs later and from there only Cross (61) and Buckley (67*) put up any fight. A great win from Melbourne Grammar puts them 3-0 and right in contention for the premiership.

aw have a cry why dont yas all.

quit whinging and start playing some proper cricket. haileybury (whos 11 ARENT all on scholarship) havent come up against some proper opposition yet. def caulfield with ease. def scotch with 5 run outs. seems as though the SCHOLARSHIP fielders were a bit too good ey? you blokes dont want to win, thats your problem, and scholarships is a good excuse for your guys' crap form

5 run outs <shakes head in disbelief>

Yeah look mate, your team is overrated. u have one decent bowler and one decent bat, and ur only decent bowler only took 1 wicket v Scotch. Obviously Pattinson wasnt that dominant, sure he may be quick nd all, but the only reason he gets bags of 6 and 7 wickets is coz all the other teams r ******** scared of him coz of all the b****it hype and banter that goes on behind the scenes before a game. if ppl actually watched the ball and reacted to the ball rather than who was bowling the ball, then u guys wud get f**n rolled each week. u guys rely on him sooo much and all the rest of ur bowling attack is woeful. imagine if scotch didnt have 5 stupid run outs, u guys wuda been smashed. arguably the best bat in the comp, clayton, was run out for single figures and wuda gone on to make a mockery of your rapidly decreasing in value scholarship team. it looks like haileybury took the chequebooks out a bit too early in sum cases. please, im begging sumbody in the APS, do a favour for the competition, and please f*** this team over once and for all.

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

patto's leavin hailebury this year anyway to go and play 1's at dandenong, so he wont be playing in the 2 dayers, but doesnt matter, you guys will just pull out your cheque books and replace him pretty quickly neways.

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

sorry mate, i dont have any tissues, but im sure you can find your own.

haha. wise words mate, now if only your loser mates read and act on them, you might have a chance against us. but until then, all opposing teams will be slaughtered.

and youre right mate, patto does carry the team a bit. we played without him today in the taverners cup and lost.

but hes a freak, and weve got him :) so you guys can keep wishing that he'll leave...

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

Caulfield 197

Breen 58
Sundberg 39

Def

St Kevins 180

McDermott 67
Everitt 3/30
Handel 3/22

Fantastic game, Caulfield probably didn't get enough runs and had Skevs 4/50. This then turned into 4/140 and CGS were looking down the barrel of a disappointing defeat. Great spells by year 9s Everitt and Handel who took 3 for each brought CGS back into the match and eventually ran out winners.

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

did everitt and handel play against HC? i know handel did.

skevs look any good? were they unlucky or did CGS just play well?

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

skevs just had a collapse and didnt quite recover and hav now lost 2 games that realistically shouldve been won. theyre gonna try to make a strong start in the 2 dayers after playing a match against st pats launceston on monday and tuesday and ammassing 9/390 in 90 overs chasing 250. at last the middle order got sum form bak so it should be good to see how the team fares in term 1.

Everitt opened with yaman against HC

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

Does anybody reckon HC will loose a game this season? If so who will it be against

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

yeh they'll lose against someone ******** coz they r the cockiest bastards goen around and if they dont lose against someone ******** it'll be themseleves coz their heads are that big they wont be able to fit through the changeroom doors!!

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

that doesnt matter, well just give a scholarship to some guy who can widen our change room doors :)

easy! til then, keep dreaming someone'll beat us

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

are melbourne any good this year? scotch or xavier will be good for the two-dayers maybe one of them

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

i think scotch have the edge on xavier. but both are premiership contenders. skevs are a solid team that just havent won. i think those three are the better teams

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

Pattinson is playing in the Under 19 and 17 Vic team and the Carey girl is vice captain of the Under 17 Vic team. Hailerbury v Carey first round next year.

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

does n e 1 relise how bad carey realy are if hailbury bat first they shuld make about 300 if carey bat first itl b ova b4 lunch pato will actualy kill a carey batsmen they wont even b able ta get out of the way....its easy ta c how a chik culd walk inta a team like carey cuz all the guys at that skool r fukin nufftyz

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

ur right carey r crap but the girl has just been awarded com bank future star award on the crick vic site pity the guys in that carey team r pathetic

Re: APS Season 2006/2007

With Melbourne knocking over Xavier, the premiership is obviously out of Haileybury, Melbourne, and Scotch. Haileybury have already beaten Scotch, so effectively it is out of Melbourne and Haileybury
