That is interesting as CA chose him last innings of last match. He is out of form with the bat so prefer he was hidden down order at #7. Also quite a mental burden to open and keep.

Jhye Richardson is in.
Not in Test cricket.. white ball yes. I think down the track he will bat in our Top 6 allowing us the option of another bowler or bat.
CA website reporting he was in doubt this morning.
If we have to lose Josh can not think of a better replacement than Jhye. Both have a good skillset.

Yes.. No rule says keepers must open. Do you want him too mentally tired from batting to keep with the precision that is needed at this level. Or not switched on sufficiently to bat for long periods because he is mentally drained from keeping for a day in the sweltering Aussie sun.
