Hard to see Perth not finishing near the bottom especially with Marsh out, really screws the balance of the side. Alfonso Thomas is a good replacement for A.Morkel who SA wouldn't allow to play.

Melbourne Renegades were too good for the Melbourne Stars this evening. The Stars' total of 5/167 always looked a little on the lean side as compared with the scores made their last season at Etihad Stadium (Docklands).

The Renegades passed that with 10 balls to spare with Aaron Finch scoring 111 not out with some superb hitting. A surprise result considering how bad the Renegades were last season and with the signings that the Stars managed to secure.

Warne got absolutely hammered by Finch and Rohrer about 42 runs off 2 overs. Perhaps now he might just concentrate on just bowling instead of talking the the commentators with the mic.

The Hobart Hurricanes got their first win of the season against the Brisbane Heat. Scoring 2-175 in reply to Brisbane's 6-172. Tim Paine made 28 and Jonathon Wells made 38 which got us off to a good start. Travis Birt made 57 not out off 40 balls in a hard hitting innings, while Jonathon Wells was important with 36 not out off 23 balls. Hopefully the Hurricanes can keep winning and they will be helped with the inclusion of the great man Ricky Ponting.

Perth Scorches have been bowled out for 69, against the Melbourne Stars. This is the lowest Australian domestic T20 score in history. Fair to say they are in some trouble. Malinga ripped through the Perth batsman with 6 for 7 off for 4 overs.

Good to see Perth finally win against Sydney Sixers but that was that was one of the worst games of T20 that I've ever seen.

I actually thought the sixers would romp this one. I didnt see the match, what made it so bad?

Just a slow and dull run chase of a low total, poor batting and some of the fielding was atrocious, 3 very, very simple catches dropped.

Hobart Hurricanes went down to the Melbourne Renegades. Hurricanes were very disappointing with their batting. Ponting making 26 the only batsman that really did anything. Aaron Finch hitting the roof made a good highlight. The Renegades have been very underrated this season.

Yeah it's always going to be hard to come up with a 'fair' total for a 5 over run chase, although Brisbane still had every opportunity to win before Dan Christian bowled that rubbish over.

Yeah but that's because Dan Christian is a rubbish bowler and always gets smashed.

Finally a decent first up total, Adelaide 6 for 177. Sydney Thunder rely on Gayle a lot but it should be a good run chase if he gets going.

Well they didn't even get close. The Thunder are a very ordinary side, apart from Nannes and Gayle who hasn't fired yet they are a very ordinary side, you know you are struggling when Buck Rogers is the captain.
