Sweet match up.
Salvatore will be firing.
I think Plenty are the side to beat this year, just got a very strong bowling attack.
But Lower Eltham wont be bad either, very good round 1 match.

Awesome 1st round. This match is way to close to call for me. Some would say that Plenty are on the way up and Lower Eltham will plateau
somewhat?

I hear Matthew George may be heading to Mernda to join Soly. Anyone confirm this? Or am i totally off the mark?

This information is spot on. Also heard that a former Mernda player now playing in another competition might be looking to return home to the DV. Any clubs interested:D

DVCA TIPPING COMPETION.

G'day Dvca posters.
This season the DVCA in conjuction with Big Cricket will be running its' own tipping contest.
Both Barclay and Money Shield will be combined to make it a bit more challenging. I
encourage as many DVCA posters to join, thus making it as interesting as possible. We are striving
to become the number one local cricket thread on Big Cricket but also the challenge to find
the best tipster within the Valley.
A weekly prize of B Cash will be awarded to the outright winner. This will be jackpotted until this occurs.
We are also in the midst of organising a Grand prize worth striving for.
Those who are interested can post on either site.
Rules to come after expressions of interest.

Anyone can join its all a bit of fun, so go to the tipping comp thread and add your name to the list should be alot of fun..

Righto boys, time to see what everyone thinks of the upcoming season. Fill in the gaps.....................

Who will win it?

Who will play finals?

Who will just miss out?

Who will dominate?

Who will surprise?

Who will disappoint?

Who will be relegated?

Who will win the medal?

Who will win the batting ave?

Who will win the bowling ave?

Cold Case, can we run a tipping comp on some of these or a book of some sort? I'm happy to scrounge up a fake market on most runs, most wickets, premiers and medal winner..................we can all have a punt.

Definately. I will get something organised. I will get back to you on that.

From what I hear, Epping are training the house down. The joint coach dynamic duo in the Hursty boys are making the Pingers work harder than ever before. Ahmet is back plus a couple of handy recruits to cover the loss of Mctaggart. For me they are definately the team to beat.
Cant see the batting or bowling changing. Minney & Baker.
Macleod to improve vastly. Plenty to be knocking on the door . Last years Grand finalist Lalor Stars and Premiers Mernda again have to play above themselves to be considered top 4. Lower Eltham who dominated last year and by all reports are losing their key bowler might have to change their game plan up a bit.
I have a feeling Bundoora might jump the most in ladder rankings this year.

Top 4 - In no particular order:
Epping
Stars
Plenty
Mernda

Most Runs
M. Minney @ $1.10

Most Wickets
P. Baker @ $2.10

Medal
M. Minney tied with D. Love

Surprise
Research if they can get full side that inlcudes Turner/Ross/Malone/McTaggart/Soysa/Collins all playing 11 games

Disappointment
Not too sure yet, haven't heard enough on who teams have lost or recruited for certain. Maybe Nth Eltham?

Relegation
North Eltham Wanderers

CC let me know when you want me to start framing markets and I'll get something done for you, you can play around with them then if you want.
