Even though u pick up 3 good players at ecc, doesnt mean ull come straight back up. U need more then 3 people to play cricket. who else have to got to play? .........anything on minney or on the move?

The pages if you read correctly are complete and utter shit, and something that we go through every year. Have a look at the same thread May 2010, the same people posting the same crap. All the talk of him leaving is from 15yo kids on the internet, and you take it as that they are gospel. Did you read the posts from the guys that either know him? or play at ECC?

Skips is one of the very few quality blokes in the DVCA who plays for the club and his mates. And the stories that go around about him every year are nothing short of disrespectful and bullshit.

Give me one good reason why we should "confirm" on here that skips is playing like you asked. Purely and simply we don't give a shit what you want or think. We have signed up Donaldson, Gutterson, Kennel and another who i won't say just yet. Have had a gun cricketer come back to play that used to play at ECC. That happened well over a month or two ago. Yet I haven't got on here told people any of that. What happens at the club is for the club, not to pruike on an internet forum.

Move on, and start a new rumour.

Putting back together a sub standard Eltham College side of past years.....how many Barclay Shield games amongst those 3??....does not guarantee success, but good luck in creating a lot of pressure on the club that will be most watched this season....pity the club didn't offload this amount of $$$ to support the club legend last year....maybe you could have stayed up!!!

Looks like another season of NEW gobbing of about Barclay Shield...:D

Cant see Bubis lasting to Christmas at St Franger if he carries on the way he did last year, step backwards boys

John will be coaching the club this year. He brings with him a vast amount of experience and with our first 2 grades made up of alot of guys in their mid 20's experience is something we needed to chase this season. Have played under John previously at another club he is a strong minded coach and player who is committed to improving the club as a whole and players individually. Very happy to have John on board and yes even though he may have a reputation throughout NMCA and DVCA i believe it is a good step forward for the club and hopefully we can push ourselves into the top 4 again in season 2011-12. He brings experience and knowledge as a coach and player and it is something we need having such a young playing group.
While we continue our journey as a young club striving for the ultimate success, which is promotion to A Grade, we need to improve as individuals and as a playing group over the coming years and i think John is the right person to lead us in the right direction.

blah blah specialist, all talk, seems like there is a lot of talk at your club but nothing ever comes of it, didnt you guys make the semi's two years in a row, a quality bunch of players would have stepped up. i think even with bubis you will struggle to make the finals, your a long way of the others. but good luck.

Heard the same thing from an ex Rosebank player on Friday night that he is coaching Camrea

What happened to the rumour last season that St Francis were moving their home base to Parade college? Seems to have gone quiet.
Will never be a success when they play on the worst ground/set up in the comp.

Its funny you say that, there have been little or no recruits over the past few years. We pick up Donno (MS Bowling award winner), Gutto (MS Comp award winner) and Kennel (Gun bat and ex captain/coach) yet people have negative thoughts about these recruits. We got off our arses and chased very very good cricketers and got them.

Plenty have always been freaks at getting very very good players. Don't know if your budget is bigger, but gee you get some good gets.

You have recruited three money shield players to hang on......... wait for it......... PLAY IN MONEY SHIELD!!!!
And are wondering why you're not getting any credit for such a brilliant recruiting campaign??
Am i missing something here....

Not sure if they have left DVCA, but there were rumours flying around a while ago they were merging with Plenty Valley.
This way they will have 6-8 senior teams and also juniors. Some teams will play turf, some hard wicket. Not sure how this will work???
Anyone from YB confirm?

I personally think we should tell them to piss off if they want to play here and there.

They as club have run themselves into the ground and have taken the easy way out and sold their club to a sub district club who just want to use thir ground. They have used excuses as to why they can't attract juniors time after time when they are in probably one of the best growth corridors in the DVCA.

They would be more comfortatable playing in the NMCA they way they have conducted themselves.

Basically - Yarrambat have merged with Plenty Valley CC (old BOP).
The new club's first XI will pay under the PVCC umbrella, as will all sides down to about their 5ths which will be Yarrambat's first XI.
So anyone playing Money Shield against Yarrambat will actually be playing PVCC's 5ths.
I think that's the case anyway.
