Chargers in a exciting Game
The Big Dude who smashes em ! Dont know his name from Chargers !

Lalor to win. should be a good game. they will need there batting to stand up becuse it hasnt of late. (Todd Hughes BOG)

jack quick game should be a good contest. rivergum will need a good start with the bat and will need to take early wickets. ameron will be relying on harrison to take there wickets if he bowls his 25 overs he will of course take wickets, just a matter of how much damage these wickets have.

Jack kelly the chargers of course should win but if they bat 2nd and are chasing anything 190 + then who knows, they could get the wobbles!

any players movements already? few rumours going around

its lalor all the way this week, and the player movement will start with several youngsters leaving the northcote united nursery, apparently they not too happy with the pressure applied to them by people within the club, and some who all of a sudden want a game this week.

Re: Northern Metropolitan Cricket Association (Jika)

some predictions this week

Lalor to beat Northcote United, in my opinion Lalor will win by strength in numbers, they are a well disciplined team who respect there captain and each player plays there role in the team. My tip for man of the match is Todd Hughes has come of age this year and is a confidence player who will thrive on the big stage.

Im hopin we can beat Cameron, both sides will go in with confidence as you should in a grand final and it should b a great clash on a beautiful ground at Lalor. My tip for man of the match, The lakenator has come of age aswell this year took 6 fa in the semi and is primed for a big one in the big one!

The Darebin Chargers should and deserve to win against Preston Footballers but being a grand final anything is possible. Footballers will b excited at the prospect of winning there first flag in 30 years and may just rise to the occasion. Will be interesting to see if Darebin show any nerves in the gf.

Good luck to every club participating this week in the gf. (little less luck to the cameron guys)

Go the Kooks!!!

Heard a whisper that another Jika shield club if off to HDCA.

HDCA have been trying to get Holy Trinity to move across the last few seasons of which Holy Trinity have told the NMCA of this.

People within the HDCA are once again spreading rumour that Holy Trinity are going to their comp, but Holy Trinity have told the NMCA they are happy in the NMCA and are staying. Only time will tell though.

Re: Northern Metropolitan Cricket Association (Jika)

Thanks for the clarifiaction. That was the club that was mentioned so it will be interesting to see what happens.

Re: Northern Metropolitan Cricket Association (Jika)

Rumors such as these do nothing to help the NMCA or clubs involved. Inevitably this time of year brings about whispers of clubs & players moving here, there and everywhere... these whispers should always be taken with a grain of salt IMO.

NMCA clubs should do what ever possible with the Executive to ensure the competition is strong and to continues to improve where possible.

Snake, great to see Camrae get up to Barclay Shield first go... all the best up there next season...

Best of luck to grand final participants this weekend!!!

i think united will get up smith-whiting bog

Re: Northern Metropolitan Cricket Association (Jika)

If DSW fires they are a massive chance. Only takes one NU guy to get a decent score and the rest will chip in... if they can get 180+ on the board and get rid of Hughes & Christie cheap then they are in the game...

Hopefully it will be a great game for all that get down and watch

Re: Northern Metropolitan Cricket Association (Jika)

With the loss by Northcote United in the Grand Final. The big question on everyone's lips is.
Whose kids will they target from other clubs over the pre-season to try and go that one step further?
Bout time that devolped there own I reckon.

Cold Case, are you in a position to say whether Alex is coaching you guys again next season???

Word out of Camrea is that he isn't and he went and paid them a visit last weekend and sounded out his return back to Camrea.

Re: Northern Metropolitan Cricket Association (Jika)

Alex has promised to coach for 2 years. On saturday night he was pretty keen to start for the next season. We have an AGM on the 12th of April. No decisons regarding the on field will be made until the new office is in operation.

If Lalor Stars have offered him two years and he is keen to start the second year then why would there need to be a decision made regarding on field?
Surely he just continues doing the job the club and he agreed on when he came across.

Alex came down to the Money Shield grand final to show his support to his former club and nothing else. In fact his Lalor Stars team mates spent more time at the grand final than he did.
