You must be kidding yourself right?

Dont remember too many kids playing when we played you. Nish, D. Anderson, R. Anderson, Harvey, Rapp, Cook, Hewitt. Yeah real young side!

The CCC retirement village pinched a flag!

Taking Lamb out would have been like taking Cheetham out... Chelt would have been creamed!

Look forward to hearing how the north sides enjoy copping it from the chelt drunks in the grandstand as they walk off the ground after being dismissed. They'll need the police out there! Lucky they'll be getting creamed anyway!!

Hewitt only played two 1sts games for the year. Nish isnt that old, neither is Harvey. Both late 20's. D.Anderson is only 23 and is president (i think). Fair effort. The other blokes are a bit older but the rest of the side is very young and so is the 2nd XI.

Cheetham didnt play the second week of the GF so effectively they didn't have him when it mattered most.

Seems like sour grapes from you. Enjoy another year in South A. Chip up fella!

InGoodTouch: If you can't handle a bit of light hearted banter as you are coming off go play tiddlywinks. It happens at every other ground. At least Chelt have supporters there...unlike some other clubs that resemble a ghost town.

Re: VTCA Thread

Breaking news from the green trackies. Turner spotted being dragged away from Telstra dome on Saturday night for stealing grog when people ran onto the ground to celebrate buddy's 100 goals. Apparently was wandering through the isles grabbing drinks off the floor and muttering what a waste of good booze. His 2 fat mates in "Pies" petrollium and "Do I really look like a dim sim" Taylor thought it was a food fest and had to be taken away to get their enourmous over filled guts drained. The food is now being shipped overseas to feed the starving millions. Aid workers have praised the actions of quick thinking ambulance drivers!

After being spoken to while ratting through bins outside the local pub apparently Turner is going around again?? Maybe the Pulican can shed some light on this and maybe an update from Vic police??

The bottom line was that Maccabi had to make 177 to win and Cheetham didn't bowl - all out 119.
More like a case of - Put the Jackas on a vegetarian diet and they suffer from a case of an extreme tightening of the sphincter:D:D

Re: VTCA Thread

Abers have stayed up.

Will be interesting as bottom 4 sides in north A go done next year and top 2 in north B go up. VTCA are doing this so there are 10 sides in each comp.

Light hearted, more like cold hearted! They're completely feral those blokes at chelt!! No ghost town down at arthur street, everyone's jumping on board for the Demons next flag!!

Last time I saw the Chelt drunks they were getting stuck into a carton at Carlton Sterling... they are hardcore drinkers down that way!

No no... will see you boys this season.

Was nice to see in the absence of the great white hope that it was the young boys like RA and Hewitt getting the jobe done in the GF... bright future.

As for those supporters, Im sure they will be standing behind the bowlers arm as usual, ripping out some educated comments... much like yours.

Best of luck... fella.

Chelt arent a rabble of a club. They won a flag with a bunch of kids last year and one or two old heads. The club is headed in the right direction with its junior development and hopefully will consolidate itself in Senior A this year.

:)

you can't be that stupid pulling one!, the only direction chelt are heading is back to south A.

South Caulfield will battle relegation given that they will be too mentally scarred after that shallacking in the semi final.
Even with Mullaney ,definately wont challenge for top 4.

Keep writing us off like everyone does every year, we'll be up there again.

McKinnon to get relegated now they don't have the only bloke doing anything for them, Mullaney.

Ok , but how many semi-final defeats can the same players keep taking ?
3 in 4 years is it ? Lost an unlosable after making 290 2 years ago. All out in 30 overs last season. Great replacement in Mullaney but all you are getting is a good medium pacer because him and Simpson are equals with a bat in hand.
Now you'll have to find a keeper and a new "mid off" after the same guy dropped 3 doozies in the semi.Maybe give him the gloves ?

At least they dont cheat with the wicket preperation like Doutta.

The North sides...well those that have played at Doutta in the last few years will think nothing of drunks shouting abuse at them from the touch lines!

Cheat ? Please elaborate ?
A few years ago after making 200 odd and having south caulfield 1 down overnight , douttas turned up to south caulfield with no wicket prepared yet nothing was done about that.Yet Mckinnon were playing around the corner, short memory fella.
If you mean last semi , yep we prepared a wicket that would stand up for only 1 day and crumble on the second, so why did south capt win the toss and bowl.

Re: VTCA Thread

Love em or Hate em, you must understand that this is part of the accepted and expected norm at Doutta, it is an essential part of their culture.

Had the chance to go straight back to A1 this year and whimped it, ran all the way back to Sth A with their tail between their legs.
Reasons given :
Cannot face being beaten up by those big bad boys from the North anymore.
Not allowed out after dark.
Mummies apron strings only stretch as far as Brighton.
We can continue to doctor our wicket down south and get away with it.

As for your remark about Doutta - even in jest - a disgrace.

Of course this doesnt happen anywhere else....................Any support is good support and it never seems to get out of control at any club. Most clubs give as good as they get, some clubs just do it better..............

I would think they are happier to say they play in A1 and get flogged every week rather than say they have been relegated. Even if they were to play in B1 I wouldn't think they would make the finals unless they have picked up some serious talent. As you know all too well ones ambition sometimes overides their ability. I think this is definately the case here. Maybe the whole North A & B needs a makeover in the next year or so, so that this doesn't continue to happen. I know there's nothing wrong with playing each side twice in a one day and two day fixture it's actually a better scenario than they have had in past but I think the A1 will have a couple of teams a long way behind the better ones. Could be a long season for Avondale, Aberfeldie and west Newport have saved themselves some serious losses this year!

What is your reasoning that Avondale will a long season? The club is a strong position to be a competive team this year.

Re: VTCA Thread

Does the VTCA still maintain their website? No fixtures on it and Permits and Clerances say they will be up September 1 but there is nothing there|@

Looks like the executive put as much time into their website as they do policing the two paid players rule!!
