Australia in New Zealand

Re: Australia in New Zealand

Sorry, but lets be honest, most of the regular posters on here are Australian so it is only natural we are going to be talking about Australia.

Edit: Damn, Bangladesh so close.

Whilst that may be so, this is still a forum for all cricket fans no matter what country they are from. We are working on bringing more members to the site from outside Australia.

Re: Australia in New Zealand

We're a small site so it's hard to attract people to the forum when there is only modest activity. Things are getting better though and we have a core group of posters who post quite frequently.

We're slowly getting there, these things take time though.

Re: Australia in New Zealand

Quite a few, there's been a range of posters that have come and gone from here.

Re: Australia in New Zealand

Big wicket for the Kiwis to get LtD's boy, he was looking very menacing.

Re: Australia in New Zealand

Oram carried off with an injured knee whilst fielding.

4 for 158 off 30 overs, White/Hussey need a decent partnership here to make sure Australia get 300+ which would probably be about par here.

Re: Australia in New Zealand

5 for 173 off 35, White gone clean bowled, ypu would think that NZ are in a decent position now especially if they can get another wicket soon.

Boris' boy Hopes in now :p

Re: Australia in New Zealand

Hopes just survived a plumb LBW, who knows why Rudi gave it not out, but it makes it seem like there isnt much bounce in the track, Australia could have done with a good stump to stump bowler

Re: Australia in New Zealand

NZ need 163 more at 0 for 13.

Geez does this Ingram bloke have concrete in his shoes or something? Horrible technique.

Re: Australia in New Zealand

I may have been a bit harsh on the Kiwis, they actually treat Harris bowling as the crap it is unlike the Pakis and Windies who thought they were facing McGrath, now it seems that Harris doesnt know how to cope with getting smashed :D

Re: Australia in New Zealand

Maybe the Aussies should bring out a new DVD, how not to bowl at the death with instructions from Shane Watson, Mitchell Johnson, Doug Bollinger and Ryan Harris with special comments from Ricky Ponting about setting fields :D

New Zealand home thanks to some extremely ordinary bowling, Clint McKay must wonder how the hell he cant get a game especially as in his only full series he was leading wicket taker

Re: Australia in New Zealand

Clint McKay should worry about bowling out tailenders before thinking about playing for Australia hey eddie?

You know, Queensland getting home with the greatest last wicket stand ever.

Maybe Victoria should take lessons from Collingwood on how to win finals :D :D :D

Australia = #1 ODI Team in the world.

You remember that eddie.

Re: Australia in New Zealand

275 was never going to be enough on that ground.

Australia looked a bit underdone, which is understandable given they haven't play a ODI match for a couple of weeks.

Interestingly Australia has lost its last 5 games against New Zealand in New Zealand. I don't think the small grounds suit us when defending targets so we have to break that hoodoo on Saturday.

The batting was probably 15% off and the bowling 15% off.

Not good enough to be plain and simple.

Re: Australia in New Zealand

Pretty good game and sets up what should hopefully be a hard fought series. Australia just didn't bowl well enough defending only 275.

Re: Australia in New Zealand

Never seen Bollinger been dominated by the batsmen so far.. He was clearly there for the taking today..

NZ's middle order should worry them in the upcoming fixtures, thought vettori coming back and styris pushed up the order would look better. Styris has finally got his stuff together after a couple of disappointing outings. Nice to see him reach the boundaries at the death.

So finally a team that's getting Aussies nervous on the field. Misfields and missing the stumps, thats a big drop in fielding standards..

And the black caps are 1 up :)

Re: Australia in New Zealand

Good game.

What was that about Styris not being good enough? Must be angry that Ingram has his spot.
