Australia In Sril Lanka 2011

Hussey finally goes, just 5 runs short of a well deserved hundred. Aus is in trouble if we are going to continue to let Hus do all our scoring.
Aus all out for 273, which is more then they looked like getting not long after lunch. Now we get to see what our new bowlers are made of.

BTW, whose going to open the bowling? I assume Harris will start at one end. Who'll be at the other? We know Johnson strugggles with the new ball at times, is Copeland a first up bowler though?

Copeland gets Dilshan at short cover with only his second delivery. Very loose shot though, it was like he thought it was a one day game...

Incredable debut by Lyon. 5/34 from 15! Great stuff!
SL all out for 105. Australia is now looking good.

Overturning the decision on Hussey gloving the ball with that replay after the original call from the field umpire was not out, ridiculous.

Australia playing a few shots with the lead stretched out to 330.

Khawaja batting very nicely against the Sri Lankan spin, good to see.

And the Australians 2nd innings draws to a close. SL with 379 to chase for victory. Not likely from what we've seen so far. Averaging about 13 wickets a day.

The debutants both hung around for a while at the end there, great to see. Copeland seemed willing to just put the bad balls away. Made 23no, pretty solid considering what other guys were leaving for.

Sri Lanka 5/120 in their second, still need more than 250 more to win the game. Only rain will delay a result from here.

I must say Australia have been fairly impressive, they've batted fairly well in tough conditions and bowled superbly. Never would have picked Lyon to get a wicket with his first ball and then take five for the innings.

Very nice work from Harris and Watson just as good as the first innings. Great work from them and even Johnson got a wicket this morning with the first decent ball he bowled in his spell.

Great day for us but we will need to bat well today. 350 + is a must 450 even better. To rap it up in two tests is a good improvement and gives some hope for a tough summer against the Indians. Bowling going well but ??over Johnson, he really is not a Test bowler and Siddle would be a better work horse. Possibly another young paceman would be a good move with the ashes in mind.

Nice leave Watto. For some reason I love seeing batsmen getting knocked out leaving deliveries lol.

Same here, vast amusement value.

That was hardly a Copeland style ball that nipped a mile in though. Just a really dumbass leave.
