India In Australia 2011/12

And Clarke is on his way to another hunderd as he is 90. Yadav is bowling and still Sehwag but they aren't troubling both batsman and the partenship is 172 from 241 balls. Why did Sehwag have Laxman at second slip when he should of had him at first slip. Now Clarke is making him pay for his error

Who knows we've been saying that batting is their strength all this series and they've done sfa, absolutely no excuses if it happens again here in Adelaide though. The way they are running around in the field this arvo it looks like they are already thinking about the flight home.

Boy the Indians must be sick of the sight of Ponting and Clarke this summer

Yeah there is no excuses because this wicket is a batsman wicket and it is like the Indian wickets. They seemed very fl out in the field. I think Sachin needs to score his 100th hundred to get the monkey of the back. Clarke is batting well and is the leading run scorer in the series. Hopefully the competion will be a bit more compective when we go over to India later this year. Sri Lanka might be a bit more competitve when they come over for the tri-series in Feb.:D

Australia 4 for 478 with Clarke out for 210 and Ponting also just getting past 200. I wonder roughly what declaration Clarke is thinking of? He's been pretty aggressive so far, will see India batting at some stage today, just a matter of when.

VVS misses a chance of Ponting that he probably should've taken, tbh not sure how much longer Ponting will last, he looks pretty knackered.

Just got past 600 with a Harris six, edit he's called them in, I think the commentators said that they will have about 20 overs at India tonight.

Great start by Australia, Siddle picks up Sehwag with a magnificent caught and bowled and the 'wall' gets his castle knocked over again by Hilfenhaus.

India crumble in the first session on Australia Day to limp to 5 for 111, Lyon just picking up a well deserved wicked with Laxman caught behind.

India finally knocked over for 272 with Kohli notching up a ton, Clarke decides to not enforce the follow on and have a bat again this arvo, good move to give the pacemen a rest and bowl last.

lol, the top 3 go cheaply again with Ponting and Clarke back in already. Marsh having an absolute dog of a time at the moment, slightly unlucky with that LBW.

Clarke declares about 15 minutes after lunch setting India a total of 500 runs to win. Not sure what the point of that was, may as well just called it quits although I guess Clarke may have thought Haddin and Ponting might have actually played aggressively instead of just poking it around..

edit- Clarke looked a bit miffed when waving them in as if he wasn't happy with they way they weren't getting on with it.

Been on holidays just back. Another great bowling effort, fantastic for Lyon to get some important wickets on a flat pitch. Top order problems again but compared to India we are getting there.

India are certainly past their prime. Dravid and Laxman should be pushed into retirement and Tendulkar wouldn't be too far behind. Sehwag has played like someone who doesn't really care, Gambhir is out of form, Kohli showed some fight towards the end of the series but was also out of form in the first two games.

Surely India have someone better then Ishant Sharma, the guys bowls absolute pies. Zaheer is mid 30's now as well so he's only got a limited amount of time left at the highest level.

The resurgence of Ponting has been a welcome sight as well as Clarke's great form and his pretty good captaincy too. All in all, a very good series for Australia.

Match reduced to 32 overs after the rain break, Hussey brothers batting brilliantly after Wade's knock of 70 odd, hopefully that sees the end of Haddin for good in the shorter forms at least.
