Pakistan vs Australia March-April 2022

Pakistan are 1/240 late on day one. Imam-ul-Haw has 129 not out, Azhar Ali is 62 not out. Nathan Lyon has the only wicket so far which was Abdullah Shafique for 44.

Great batting but this is a freeway haha.
Yep. The fact our top 7 bowlers only managed to eke out a solitary wicket speaks volumes for the benign state of this track. I call it the Rawalpindi Motorway. ;)

What a disgraceful wicket. Second morning of a match and no slips for the pacemen. What we need is someone who can mix it up to force an error like is done in white ball.

Gotta hand it to the two centurians for the concentration they have shown. So easy to hit out and throw away your wicket on this surface.

Pretty flat deck. Pakistan made 4/476 before declaring, Australia are 0/5 at stumps on day two.

Australia will be looking to bat all day on day three and reduce the deficit. You would think they'd be aiming to be at least 300 by stumps, if not higher. The pitch doesn't look to have many demons in it at the present time and is not offering much to the bowlers but will reserve judgment until Australia have had a chance to bat on this deck.

In the corresponding match in '98 Aussies posted 513 batting first.. Pakistan 269 and 145 in reply thanks to Stu MacGill's 10 for the match. Does the opposition have a spinner the calibre of Magilla. I doubt it. Nathan Lyon took 1/161 over first two days. Do the opposition have anyone as experienced as Lyno.

Testimony to the lifeless deck was that our quicks bowled 93 overs between them for a solitary wicket to the skipper. PCA needs to make the final two wickets competitive especially for the first innings otherwise teams will not want to tour Pakistan in the future.
