The BaggyGreens Thread

Remember you mentioning his concussion history, so glad he's ok - Puc looked like he kept his eye on the ball well enough mate, that short one kept a bit lower than expected though, so reckon the bloke was pretty unlucky.
I fully concur Pete. The ball did not rise much above waist level. He will miss the next warm up and hopefully the First Test as CA wont want him debuting against an unpredictable new pink ball.. specially under lites when it hoops around corners and spits off a good length..

Yeah, that makes good sense Craig for him not to play in the 1st test... he needs that bit of extra time to get his mindset right.

Cameron Green today showed why he is the most exciting all round prospect in Australia for decades with one special ball to send Gill back to the sheds. Did you catch it Pete. Unplayable.
CA chose a greenhorn A pace attack but it has done a fine job having India 6 down after the first session with only a long tail to come.
This is a poisoned chalice event as it may mean the A boys now batting during the evening.

Yeah, Green looks to be an excellent all-rounder mate - didn't see it, sounds like he bowled an absolute jaffa.
Shows the depth you have Richie when you can play a very inexperienced bowling attack & they still perform really well.

All teams should practice like that... prepares you much better for the pressure of an actual game.
One of the reasons why our rugby team the All Blacks are so good over the years is because they practice like they would play in a match, but because it's a physical game they have to hold back a bit.

Precisely Pete. Regardless of how much intensity went into that training the Aussie top 6 are as brittle as glass .. bar Smith of course and possibly Labuchagne. The Indian quicks must be licking their lips with anticipation.

Didn't think your top 6 were that brittle - but you'd know much more about the form of your players than me mate... Labuchagne has done really well since he's come into your test team.

Burns has barely made a decent score this summer Test av @37. Technique out of 10. 6. Harris keeps making domestic runs but gets bogged down in Tests after starts and throw away his wicket. Test av.@24. T. 5/10. Head. ditto. He is a poor converter in all FC cricket . @41 sure that is a typo. T. 5/10. Wade.. will hang around and guts is out more than the other two. @ 31 T. 6/10. So not much there to write home about Pete. Frankly a sorry lot. Thank god for our next gen blokes.

I submitted your survey. Do you intend posting cricket items on this forum as we are trying to build the site. If so welcome to you.

Australia wraps up the First Test with a thumping 8 wicket win. Who'd have envisaged this when India came out to bat with a 60 run lead at the start of its second innings. In a little over an hour Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood had reduced them to a shellshocked rabble and a record low Test score of 36. It was left to our much maligned openers Burns and Wade to then polish off most of the 90 runs for victory.

Congrats Craig, you gave India an absolute thrashing - was out all day & got back late at night, saw the video highlights though, was outstanding bowling by your blokes, but for India to get rolled for a pathetic score of 36 was a shocker... heard that Kohli is returning home, he's going to be a huge loss to them.

Yes Kohli is returning for birth of his first child Pete. After that annihilation India can ill afford not to have their inspirational skipper on deck. Do they have a batsman of any quality as his replacement?

Kohli would've been better to stay at home, as all he's done now is unsettle their batting lineup & there's still 3 tests to go... not sure about the quality of their replacement batsmen Craig.
